If you want to add the bookmarks from the desktop to those that already exist on the other computer, you need to export them to an HTML file, and import that file on the other computer. See these links for details:
I want to do the second one - "add the bookmarks from the desktop to those that already exist on the other computer"
The problem is that my Firefox is version 4.0. I read somewhere in the bookmarks topics that I should have done nothing before upgrading to version higher than 12.
The thing is my computer is 8 years old and I have only 512 MB RAM. There is no way to upgrade more that v.4.0. My computer can not handle it.
Any suggestions? Can I export and import with v.4.0 safely?
Re: How to copy my Firefox bookmarks and paste them into another computer?
Thank you for the quick response!
Both computers are old (with XP) - the one I want to get the bookmarks from (1st computer) and the other I want to copy the bookmarks to (2nd computer). ...."add the bookmarks from the desktop to those that already exist on the other computer" ...
Is that going to work without deleting the already existing bookmarks on the second computer?
