How do I use the "find" option ont he Firefox tab?

There is a "find" option on the Firefox tab upper left of window. I want to search PDF and other documents. I SUPPOSE this "Find" option will help me do this, however, when I click on it nothing happens. Help, PLEASE!

You may not have noticed the following because it occurs so far from the menu. When you choose Find... from the orange Firefox button, the "find bar" should open at the bottom of the page. If the bar is already open, the cursor should move into the find box to type your search. This bar also can be opened by pressing Ctrl+f. Do either of those work?

also you can open the Find bar if you click F3 in keyboard, and continue to click F3 (after you type your search) then you see your search one by one(if exist more than one time).

thank you
