Re: Firefox for iPhone or iPad

Sorry, we are not able to make Firefox available for Apple's iPhone OS. However, we are working on an iPhone app to sync your Firefox bookmarks and tabs. Learn more about Firefox Home for iPhone.

Firefox is available now for Nokia Maemo phones, and it is coming soon for Google Android phones like the Nexus One and Droid. You can download some early test builds now.

There is no change since the previous answer by mbrubeck. Mozilla are not making Firefox for the iPad.

Re: Firefox for iPhone or iPad

Isn't Apple now allowing additional web browsers? I have Opera Mini and Skyfire on my iPhone. If Firefox be specifically excluded or has Mozilla chosen not to port to iOS?

Re: Firefox for iPhone or iPad

The entire Firefox program would have to be re-written specifically for iOS. Among other things, Apple doesn't allow an application to install a JavaScript program, it has use Apple's JS engine.

Great news for you, less code to write.

Re: Firefox for iPhone or iPad

There have been no posts for 3 months about syncing with iPad. Friend says it can be done, but can't even get a code that works. Should be 12 digit/letter code, instead given 26.
