Firefox sync recognizes my email address as previously used when i want to setup sync in the browser, but the sync site won't send a reset link to that address.
I set up sync a couple of years ago on an installation of firefox in an OS (Ubuntu) that is now wiped from my HD. Now I want to retrieve my bookmarks from the sync account so that I can use them on another system (Mac OS). I have been unable to log in to the firefox sync site and have requested that a password reset be sent to my email address. I have received no mail reset link from Mozilla, although I have repeated the process twice.
Here's the mystery:
If I try to setup a new sync-account in firefox on my new system, it tells me that the username (my email address) is already in use. Why don't I get a mail with the reset-link sent to my e-mail address?
