On 10/9/24 at 5:40 pm I received an email on my Thunderbird account warning me - "Mozilla Monitor found your email in a new data breach" (in subject line). Breach data provided by ⁨Have I Been Pwned⁩ was in the text. Given that the subject is a breach and that my data has been compromised, I am hesitant to click on any of the links provided fearing that the email itself is a scam.

Please send me a message at [edited] @ucdavis.edu with links to help from Mozilla support. This is very concerting. I have used Thunderbird for many years, but recently it has been problematic and now this! Thank you for your help

I do miss Send Unsent button (or Get/Send button). There can be a problem and an email is still in the outbox, you correct what you think is the right correction but there is no way to see if you can get it to go. but there is no way to do it (conveniently). Are there any plans to bring this back?

Hi All, I recently had to reinstall Thunderbird and managed to migrate my emails and subfolders from the previous installation. However, I think I accidentally linked my email account twice. The first one has all the emails from my account unorganized in one big lump. The second one has all the subfolders, etc that are from the previous installation. Can I delete the first one without it deleting the second one? I'd hate to have to reinstall everything again.

after using Thunderbird for years, new incoming email now display as: LP/dfHZJml//VOFFsq+rhu5OJP4DCm6cS7aNBZz0K1VLckif83iE0ZZkBM+RBJ3qjtpfOARokH9i with many more similar lines -- always the same text string though. I have restarted the app, the OS, safe mode, reinstalled the app -- nothing makes a difference. The email are displayed correctly on other machines running other email clients.

It doesn't always happen, but when it does it is usually the 2nd and 3rd emails from the top of the Inbox. So it might not be a reception issue, but a display issue.

Hello, Before an update, the backgrounds of mail headers in my inbox changed color according to the color of the tag applied to it. Now there's just a tiny colored tag in the bottom right corner (see picture), which isn't as helpful to quickly identify which mail has which tag. How do I make the background change color according to the tag? Kind Regards

As per the subject, if I delete, move or rename a folder in my Icloud account, Thunderbird will promptly Unsubscribe all of the other folders. There are two other threads I found where this has happened, but no one has come up with an answer for this, and the threads have been archived. This seems like a bug to me as it only seems to be happening with Icloud accounts. Should I report it as a bug?

some messages in my TB (128.3.0esr [64 bit]; macOS 15.0.1) do not show any content or show only completely random numbers, letters and other characters. Sometimes what helps is moving messages between the folders.

There is not such problem when viewing the e-mail via webmail.

Just got an email that does not display correctly. The attached image shows the message. This happened with another message I just received. Previous messages this morning show correctly. These emails do show correctly on the email program on my galaxy s22 Thanks, John

hello, just got a new Outlook email, which works fine on phone Android samsung App and outlook web mail. it refuses to set up on thunderbird [ up to date version] on Windows 8.1 PC- showing a message like " user authenticated but not connected" No idea what that means! Other emails in T'bird are fine. Settings were EXACTLY as shown on mozilla support. does anyone know what going on , or what the proper settings actually are, please.? Thanks Robin

I previously posted a question and it was answered by Matt however, the answer did not bring me a solution. Here it is again: I had a folder named Documents where I used to store important emails, receipts etc. I believe that after compacting the emails my folder disapeared along with 90 % of the content and now I have a new folder named Dolcuments 1 which I did not create myself. Can some one tell me perhaps how can I recover my previous folder ? and NO the repair option for the folder doesn't work.

For years, I've used TB to keep all my e-mail communication in my own computer. Since our local provider (Frontier) switched over to Yahoo, I had to change my server info to IMAP (yahoo), and I can no longer view any of my old e-mails. Is there a way to access these? I have MANY that are related to my business. Thanks!

Hi, We absolutely don't want the Microsoft Outlook mail program that they are forcing on Windows Mail users. I can no longer access my emails through that program.

We need to know the key features of Thunderbird and if possible how it compares to the "NEW" Outlook amil.

I ask the comparison in part because we mainly don't like the forced use of the "cloud" aspect to their program and apparently having to sign in to it every time I try to open Windows mail.

Your prompt response is appreciated as I can no longer access our two personal email accounts through Windows Mail.

Normally I have been able to right click on an email in the main Thunderbird window, and then select an option to delete the email. For some reason I am no longer able to do this. It appears that the right click menu has changed and the delete email option has been removed. I am able to select an email and then delete it by pressing the delete button on my keyboard, but I would rather achieve the deletion using my mouse alone (ie not having to use the keyboard). I am still waiting for help regarding the fact that Thunderbird is not downloading emails and hasn't done since 17th September. I have tried all the suggestions offered on forums and other online sites to no avail. I don't understand why no-one has bothered to help and I certainly don't understand why this happened at all. I went into hospital for 4 days and when I came back home, Thunderbird had stopped working and will not download any emails. I have 128.3.1esr (64-bit) and I use Windows 11. Account settings are fine Server settings have not changed Cache has been cleared

For some months now I have a new problem with Thunderbird with Gmail as my server. SOME but not all emails show up in Thunderbird (128.3.1esr (64-bit) with BLANKS FOR SUBJECT AND SENDER AND COMPLETE BLANK FOR THE EMAIL TEXT, ETC. If I look at the same email in Google Mail it comes in OK. I am not able to read some emails in Thunderbird and I am losing some important information.

I have asked the "{community" several times and gotten no help.

Generally like Thunderbird after migrating from Outlook. It seems, however, that Thunderbird shunts many more emails to Junk/Spam folders than Outlook ever did. Is there a place to list "acceptable senders" to avoid this? I'd really rather deal with spam messages in my inbox one at a time rather than seeing long pages of emails in the spam folder. If there is no "acceptable senders" list, can I shut off the junk algorithm entirely?

I have suddenly developed major problems with my email system on my Desktop.

My Inbox has been frozen since September 24th, why is this please? I am receiving emails through my iPad and Android phone.
