My PC bricked. When I signed in to Firefox on another PC, using my account nothing was there. No bookmarks. I was asked to use my recovery key, but it didn’t work. I created a new password. When I signed in on another PC & on my iPhone, my bookmarks were gone. How do I get to my previous settings?

I have enabled the option to open the previous windows and tabs. I had one window that I always closed last as it had a lot of groups that are important for my work, so it used to open every time I started Firefox. Sometimes, even if I closed the window by mistake without closing other windows, I was able to get it back by pressing ctrl+shift+n.

But yesterday, I might have closed it by mistake and when I pressed ctrl+shift+n , it didn't come back. I wasn't able to access my window and now it's all gone. I don't see anything in recently closed windows in history.

I need those tabs back as they are very important for my work. they were a lot of tabs. I had many groups but now all are gone. I tried by using the previous.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backup by renaming it in the default-release profile as sesstionstore.jsonlz4 but still wasn't able to access my window.

I didn't clear my history as the tabs opened in the window still show up in the history.

Kindly help as soon as possible

My System Administrator upgraded my Macbook Pro laptop after upgrading from Sequoia to to Tahoe version 26.4. This was a JAMF migration. The reinstalled Firefox does not show my bookmarks, after logging in to Firefox with my username and password. I tried to restore bookmarks but it loaded only a few, from more than a decade ago.

Restarted my PC; all of my bookmarks disappeared. NOT acceptable. (Or is this just another "improvement" from Firefox . . . ?)

Where did they go; how do I retrieve them?

Really don't want to wait days until there's a response, as I DO USE MY BOOKMARKS ALL OF THE TIME.

Can anyone help. A forced update was done to firefox and when relaunching it was like I had never used it before. All bookmarks and passwords were gone. When logging onto my account not record of my bookmarks. When looking on my desktop there was nothing there either. Is there anyway to get these back?

у меня все слетело ,я еле востановил расширения, слетели все пороли, вообще все. С помощью shadowExplorer я востановил кое какую кастомизацию но при добавлении файлов ( полного (старого)профиля просто с заменой файлов) в новый профиль получается так что я просто не могу не войти не удалить акаунт, что бы я не делал. Мне очень грустно и злостно, я был бы рад если бы мне помогли все востановить(((((( Я люблю фаерфокс но тут он мне насолил.

I had to restart my Mac (late 2015, macOS Monterey 12.7.6) yesterday and when everything was back up and running, my Firefox bookmarks were gone. I followed the steps in a help article on this site to restore them or try to find out if there was another profile (there wasn't), but nothing worked. Any other suggestions? (And if you do have them, please spell them out like I'm a fifth grader!)

I updated Firefox to 145.0 this morning, and after Firefox had restarted, it had lost all bookmarks and the bookmarks toolbar. I have spent all day following links to correct the problem and got nowhere. I have restarted Windows and Firefox countless times - no change. I've even tried reinstalling Firefox over the existing version. If I go to bookmarks > manage bookmarks > restore and backup, sometimes that will load, others not. When it does load, it fails to find a file to restore from. 10 years of bookmarks, links & research vanished.

Can someone please provide a solution (preferably in Layman's terms) to this??

Hi. I have all the automatic opening of the last session turned on. So for the last two months, when I fired up my PC, all the tabs came back on. That is, until today!

Because I mistakenly clicked "X" when I had private browsing on in other window.

This created error that resulted in blank screen coming in... All my tabs are gone, and they are not in the recent history. How can I bring them back on"? they were just there not 10 minutes ago.

Man hatte mir eine neue FAssung von firefox eingespielt - firefox VPN. Danach waren meine Passwörter, die Chronik und verschwunden und eine veraltete Lesezeichen-Datei noch vorhanden. Wie komme ich an meine ursprünglichen Daten? Wo liegen diese?

I got a PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR and cant visit some websites. I followed the correction instructions but now i am severely limited in my browsing. I created a new profile and lost my bookmarks and some important websites. Can i go back to my previous profile? .
