I updated Firefox a few minutes ago and closed everything to let it finish. When I reopened it, all my bookmarks were gone. I checked the restore option in the Bookmarks menu, but only today's date was available, and clicking it did nothing. I found the bookmarkbackups folder in my profile directory, but there's only one file—859 bytes, which is basically empty. I'm signed into a Firefox account now, but my bookmarks aren't syncing from the server, which suggests they were never synced. Is there any way to recover them, or are they just gone?

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN, I HATE HAVING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY TABS DISAPPEAR WHENEVER IT CLOSES WEIRDLY AND I LITERALLY CANT RECOVER ANYTHING, AND IT GIVES ME SOMETHING NEW, WHAT THE HELL EVEN IS THIS FIRST FILE, I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THAT JSONLZ4 FILE E V E R!!! AND WHEN I TRIED TO DO THE SAME METHOD OF REPLACING THE FILES WITH ONE OF THE OLD RECOVERY FILES LIKE IN MY OLD QUESTION, IT DOESNT FUCKING WORK, SORRY TO SWEAR BUT ITS UTTERLY RIDICULOUS DUDE!!!

Hi, I recently had to reinstall windows and I lost access to my Firefox bookmarks. I did not manually export my bookmarks before reinstalling and now i couldn't find them in my current Firefox setup. Is there any way to recover my old bookmarks or restore my previous Firefox profile date? can you please guide me on what can I do to retrieve them if possible? thank you.

help me restore my open windows. this has also happened a couple times before and its very frustrating when i have tabs open to read/refer to later or am in the process of reading and then i have to try and find them all again.

Randomly my firefix just get loggedout and when i immediately logged it in again using mozilla i cant see my bookmarks my other accounts my profiles and all my groups and other information it was like i had made a fresh account all my data is lost what to do ? PLZ help i really want my data back i have been trying to get my data. Working on it for last hour.

I tried to remove the new 'profile'. I don't want it. now ALL my data, settings & bookmarks are GONE ! Help me revert to & restore the previous account settings !!!!!

Firefox crashed and now my shortcuts have gone and the bookmarks are not easily accessible. I tried importing from the desktop but they are now in a long list and not as they were (in the toolbar. I can't gt the "bookmark summary" showing in the toolbar area.

I have tried to follow various help files, but can't recover any bookmarks. Everything bookmark related seems to have completely disappeared. I have the current bookmarks backup from my laptop, but when i go to the bookmark library and click on "import bookmarks from HTML" nothing happens. I am on an iMac OS 12.7.3, Firefox 150.02

I use a SAAS solution for my small business (FreshBooks) that has not been working well with Firefox as of late. When I reached out to their customer care department they asked me to follow their resolution steps, which included wiping the cache and cookies for all of my Firefox browser. I did so at their request, it did not fix their issue (it appears to be something their developers are working on solving) and subsequently I lost a lot of retained other sites log-in and history. Is there a way to restore the cache cookies that were removed yesterday? Appreciate your help,

I have always used Firefox. Today - some update has erased all my bookmarks. it says import from Edge - but I don't use that. I lost my job last month so all my bookmarks are so very important and now they are all gone. OMG

Please help.
