What is problem with Firefox 14 with display on monitor that will close Firefox?

more options

I open up Firefox and after just 2 minutes my monitor's screen starts to break into many digital pixals and then shuts down the program and then restarts. The problem continures each time I bring up Firefox. No problem with Internet Explorer.

Chosen solution

The new self-destruct mode? No actually, there is no such mode.

Could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved (or improved)?
