Work offline atomatically sometimes after Hibernate&Resume

I usually hibernate my notebook from day to day. Sometimes both Firefox 3.6 AND Thunderbird 3.1 will come up in "Work Offline" mode. I have Firefox set to ALWAYS start ONLINE. I don't even see a setting in Thunderbird.

So how do I get these applications to ALWAYS start online. I pretty much never want to work offline.
