SMTP settings revert back to original
I recently tried to send an email but the email could not be sent. I called Spectrum to make sure I had the correct server settings and I do. The incoming server is 993 and the outgoing setting is 587. However, when I change my settings to correct the problem and restart Thunderbird the settings return to exactly the way they were before. Incoming is 587 and outgoing is 993. I don't know what changed my settings but I can receive email but I just can't send email. I ran the troubleshooting program and the same thing happens there as well. Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on and how to resolve this issue?

First, please post issues once. This is a repeat. Can you go to help>troubleshooting information and post a screenshot of the 'Mail and News Accounts' table of accounts? thank you.
Although this does show the correct settings, when I examine the ports individually it shows both with a 587 and I still cannot send an email.
ok, would you please post screenshots of incoming server setting and also the SMTP server setting? Have you tried using STARTTLS on SMTP setting? How do you know the settings switched, if the Mail & News Accounts table shows them correct? Thank you.
This is why I can't send any email. The outgoing server is correct but the incoming server should be 993. But I still can't send any email.
You showed two copies of the SMTP server. Have you tried STARTTLS? Can you post a screenshot of the incoming server settings pane?
