Problem with BT Yahoo Email since they changed it recently

BT changed their Yahoo email a few days ago. Since then I have two problems:

1. If I paste in text from WORD and then send the email, it appears in the received email with the following strings related to font/format before the actual text:

mso-bidi-font-family:Calibri;mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-fareast-language: EN-GB">The proposal for us to vote on is therefore

2. I can type in text, but if I type a Return, it will no longer type until I click on the screen where I want to type.

After discussion with BT during which I deleted the Cookies and Cache, I tried Microsoft Edge instead and it worked perfectly, suggesting that there is an incompatibility between BT Yahoo email and Firefox for PC.

I would be grateful for your help as I would prefer to use Firefox.
