Up until a coouple of days ago while working in Chrome when a Firefox notification popped up from chat websites in Firefox, I could click on the notification and be switched to the website in Firefox. Now all that happns is the Firefox icon in the taskbar blinks... I wonder if it's due to a recent windows update... The last couple of updates seem to have impacted capabilities on Youtube. Specifically, under notifications, when you click the 3 dot option menu, the menu decouples from the option menu and goes to the top of the screen. Not the worst thing in the world but is incredibly annoying when trying to clear/hide multiple items.

A banner appears upper right of screen, stating firefox has 3 notifications (or 1 or 2 etc) but I don't know where to look for them. Can anyone help? I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2010 (when they knew how to make things that lasted) with firefox version 115.22.0esr on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (which is apparently the last version I can use as computing has vastly outraced my laptops capacity and we are expected to update everything to catch up with security glitches etc so tough sh*t if everything goes wrong. Welcome to capitalism folks.)

Ahem, but I was saying: where are these notifications and why isn't it obvious?

Good afternoon. I now have all my firefox push site notifications set to come through on the desktop even if the browser is closed. However only when I open the browser do the notifications come across as banners and show in the action center on the desktop. How do I have them show without accessing Firefox? Thank you.

I have Firefox notifications for X.com to still show on the desktop when the browser window is closed. It had been fine up until a couple of days ago and now it only shows notifications when the browser is open. I have push notifications enabled on X.com through Firefox, Firefox settings and Windows notification settings. All software is up to date. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How do I ensure that I receive email notifications when there's a response to a question I've posted on this forum?

In my profile settings, "edit settings," I've checked the box "watch forum threads I start," and in "manage watch list" I've checked "questions."

"Email me when someone answers the thread" on this page has also been selected.

Also, why are their two separate setting sections as noted above? And why am I only subscribed to the one question (under "manage watch list") I posted earlier today when I've been subscribed to my previous questions in the past? I can't even find an option to subscribe to my other previously asked questions.

www.usatoday.com Keeps sending notifications through Mozilla. when I click on "disable notifications" it only opens up a new tab to the site. I checked my homepage settings and as far as i know i have not installed a USA today extension. How do I make this go away? I would straight up block the domain if I knew how.

I found it in privacy /security> notifications and eliminated the website. This may have fixed the issue? I do not recall ever allowing the site to give notifications in the first place. is there a way to lock this domain out completely?

I have an AOL email account booked marked in the fire fox book make tool bar. It sends notifications when I open the browser. How can I turn off the notifications ?

Even in the notification setting found under privacy and security there are no sites listed, however, I am continuing to get banner notifications even after uninstalling the browser.

A while back I recieved a firefox update, installed it with no problem but it seems the notification message is forever locked into my home page. Nothing I do will wipe it out. Ideas?

I am trying to turn off notifications for Zynga in W11. Zynga is not listed in Notifications setting--only Firefox or Thunderbird. I do not want to stop all Firefox notification jut Zynga..any suggestions?
