How to make Firefox search an AI assistant that doesn't always ask me to sign in

Denys besvarat

I would like to use Firefox with a search that uses an AI bot, similar to how Brave uses Leo. Leo does not ask me to sign in every time, like Perplexity does when I select it as the Firefox search engine. Also, when I do a search, Perplexity always causes the Google sign in option, which I hate. So, I continue to use Brave/Leo, because I use the AI/Leo capability a lot, but would prefer Firefox and something.

Suggestions?

Thank you

Hi there,

Starting with Firefox version 148, you can turn off current and future AI features using a single Block AI enhancements switch, in the new AI Controls panel in Firefox settings. To learn more, see Block generative AI features with Firefox AI controls.

For additional feedback about this functionality, you may want to post in this thread on the Mozilla Connect platform. Thanks!

Hi,

Except for Perplexity, there are other features you might be interested in:
