Hi,

My bookmarks in Firefox Android are not sorted as they are with my Firefox Linux and Firefox Windows. The problem started about 4 to 8 weeks ago.

What needs to happen to have Firefox Android sort my bookmarks the same way as my Firefox Linux and Firefox Windows, please?

Hi, Bookmark sync doesn't necessarily maintain the order of bookmarks (by design).

But some sorting options will be introduced in Firefox for Android.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question.

Confirming, only Firefox Android does not sort the bookmarks whereas the Firefox Linux and Windows do sort.

So, how do I make an exact copy of my bookmarks from desktop to Android in the same order?

I know the order of my bookmarks on the desktop...easy to find. Since bookmarks are random on Android and do not sync, hunting & searching wastes time, creates frustration.

Previous to 138.0, one could turn off data collection, install and run studies, and Android bookmarks would be in the same order as Windows firefox (preferred). Apparently this is no longer true. Now sorts in alphabetical order, or newest/oldest. Want it in the same order as my Windows desktop.

Hi So why doesn't Firefox Android Bookmark sync maintain the order of bookmarks (by design)? It used to. It was really useful.

you need to insert an option as soon as possible: "Synchronization: Keep Desktop Order"
