Thanks for response. It was stored in cloud associated with my firefox account. This way i used to manage handling password between multiple devices for general accounts. Just checked recently when logged in to Firefox account all saved password were empty. Could you please help what could have happened.

I called for an administrator. Do you know how the passwords were lost? What about any other data?

Is the information on another computer? I don't know if your sync data can be recovered.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles {web link} I use a Legacy add-on that makes backups of my user profile, Just In Case. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the current Firefox.

Every now and then, open the profile folder and create a copy of the current profile as is to another location on your hard drive. This way you will have a backup.

If you do this each day, you will not lose much data. This should be done with Firefox Closed.

Note: In case you need to restore from these backups, you may need to overwrite old or corrupted files.

Does firefox do autobackup of profile ?

Profile, no. Only the bookmarks are automatically backed up. Did you check the other members of the sync for the missing passwords?

Thanks, no didnt checked could you please let me know how to check with other members if they are also facing same issue. Is there anything we can ask with Firefox support directly ?

Step one: If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Type https://accounts.firefox.com/settings<enter> in the address box. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.

You must go to/log in with other members of the sync. If they have the missing data, you need to Copy those files to a thumb drive for their protection.

logins.json and key3.db [v58+]key4.db : These are the password files. Copy Both !
