New page no longer opens full page, leaves space at bottom
Started about a week ago - some pages do not open at "full page" size as they used to, but leave a gap at the bottom of about 3/8", where part of the background page shows through. This is where the Task Bar pops up from the bottom, but I keep it hidden. I can get an instant fix for ONE PAGE at a time by clicking "Restore Window" on the top bar, but this is NOT a permanent fix.
Ubuntu 16.04, 64 bit
This is not all pages, or even most pages, just enough to be annoying.
I rely on full page displays (WITH the page headings, etc.), so this is important to me.
I have a second identical machine in another location that DOES NOT have this problem.
How do I fix this?

Try to rename/remove xulstore.json and if present delete localstore.rdf in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:preferences page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
I haven't yet tried the above, but got an example of the problem. Look at the very bottom of the page.
I've just tried this, will need some time to determine if it fixed it.
Didn't take long - see screenshot, dark bar showing at bottom is the bottom of the page behind it.
NOT fixed.
Another example - see text and bottom of pictures from page below current page at bottom.
This page is simply too short when it opens.
