Is there a way that Firefox can merge its add-ons, depending though on the kinds that they are?

I wanted to know if there was a way at all for you guys to be able to merge your add-ons, because if you were to do this, then there is no telling how much more convenient it would be for all users of this type of web browser. Some examples of these would be the types for translating a website into any language. Another type would be for the types of games that you have and like that.

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean about merging the add-ons. Did you mean combining them together or adding some of them as built-in features?

Most add-ons are written by individuals or other companies. In some cases, they only perform a single function, and in others they are quite full-featured. There's a huge variety. Having such a large developer community is great because they can respond to user needs very quickly and you often can choose among a number of add-ons to suit your working style. I doubt that Mozilla could do a better job with built-in features that take months to test and release.

One thing that certainly could help would be to make add-ons easier to discover and compare. Any suggestions? The Add-ons site has their own forum over here:

Actually, what I meant is that if there is way that add-ons in general could be merged into certain categories, but based on the types that they are. For example, since they have language add-ons to help translate websites of any sorts, then, having noticed that they have different add-ons to translate different types of foreign language websites, that they instead try to merge them all as much as they could into one add-on. In this way, no matter what website is visited by anyone at all, then that add-on will be able to help translate the website regardless of what language it's in.

I think what you mean is like in a computers folders > sub-folders. Yes?

As stated above, add-ons are written by individuals. While some add-ons were written to do many tasks, that was by the writer's design.
