Today I've opened Firefox to find out it has been reset to it's default settings. This is a PC we use at work that recently had an issue with malware and adware and I had to remove several Add-Ons and other undesired settings they left (but the first reset occured automatically).

That being solved, I try to log in to Firefox Sync in order to restore my previous settings, bookmarks, etc. But now, when I try to access about:accounts it's just a blank page. The blue spinning wheel appears and it gets stuck there. I also attach a screenshot of Firefox's welcome screen after a second refresh I attempted to see if that solved the problem, which also shows the same loading icon.

I've already tried using Safe Mode without success. I've also performed a full scan of my PC and no other viruses were found.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

You can check the log in the Web Console for error messages and the Network Monitor (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to see if content fails to load or is possibly blocked.

Use Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.
