I thought it was something like ctrl+k or ctrl+d.

Hi, almost! It's Ctrl + b.
There is also a side-bar button - which if you don't see it, might be in the Customize palette, from where you can drag it to a toolbar if you wish Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
