Firefox lets you save passwords and automatically fill them in if you've enabled saving and autofill. Here's how to change your settings. You can also use Firefox as your autofill provider to fill saved passwords in other Android apps.

Enable/disable saved passwords

1. Tap the three-dot menu button.
   
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Logins and passwordsPasswords .
4. Tap Save logins and passwordsSave passwords.
5. Choose one of the following:
   • Ask to save – Allows you to choose which passwords to save
   • Never save – Will not save passwords nor prompt you

View, edit or delete saved passwords

This includes passwords you've saved while using Firefox, as well as synced passwords from Firefox on other devices.

1. Tap the three-dot menu button.
   
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Logins and passwordsPasswords .
4. Tap Saved passwords. (You may need to release using the unlock method configured on your device).
5. Tap on any of the passwords on the list to view or copy it.
6. To edit or delete a password, tap the three-dot menu at the top right and choose Edit or Delete.

Manually add saved passwords

1. Tap the three-dot menu button.
   
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Logins and passwordsPasswords .
4. Tap Saved passwords (You may need to release using the unlock method configured on your device).
5. Tap Add password.

Sync passwords

Turning on this option lets you access your passwords across all synced devices.

1. Tap the three-dot menu button.
   
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Logins and passwordsPasswords .
4. Tap Sync passwords.
5. Follow the steps on the screen to pair your device via a QR code or by signing into your Mozilla account.

Turn on autofill

There are two settings available to autofill your saved passwords when you visit a website or app:

• Autofill in Firefox – on by default
• Autofill in other apps – off by default

1. Tap the three-dot menu button.
   
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Logins and passwordsPasswords .
4. Tap the switch next to Autofill in Firefox or Autofill other apps to turn autofill on or off.

If you turn on Autofill in other apps, you may also need to select Firefox as your preferred autofill service in your Android settings.

Use Firefox to autofill passwords in other Android apps

To use passwords saved in Firefox when you sign in to other Android apps, set Firefox as your autofill provider. The exact names of Android settings can vary by device manufacturer and Android version.

1. In Firefox, tap the three-dot menu button.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Logins and passwords.
4. Turn on Autofill in other apps.
5. If Android asks you to choose an autofill service, select Firefox.

If you don't see the prompt, open your Android Settings and search for “autofill.” Open the autofill service or preferred service setting, then select Firefox. The location and name of the autofill setting can vary depending on your Android version and device manufacturer. Use the search option in Android Settings if you can't find it.

Fix autofill in other apps

If Firefox doesn't offer to autofill a saved password in another Android app, check your Firefox and Android settings first.

1. Open Firefox and make sure Autofill in other apps is turned on under Settings > Logins and passwords.
2. Open your Android autofill settings and make sure Firefox is selected as the autofill provider.
3. Open Firefox and check Saved passwords to make sure the login you want to use is saved.
4. Return to the app and tap its username or password field to check whether Firefox offers the saved login.
5. If another password manager or autofill service is selected in Android, switch the autofill provider to Firefox and try again.
6. If autofill still doesn't appear, restart the app and try again.

Some third-party apps may not support Android's autofill service correctly. If autofill works in Firefox or other apps but not in one particular app, the issue may be specific to that app.
