ZTE freezes when switched on and power light remains constant.

I got the phone and inserted the sim. It all worked fine. I then put in the micro sd card and restarted.

Ever since then it freezes on the 'Firefox OS' screen and the power light remains on.

I've tried tried out the sd card, battery and sim several times with no success.

It seems fault but I thought I'd try here before sending it back.

Hi,

I'm sorry you are having this problem with Firefox OS and your SD card. I think feer56 suggestion is a good one, but you might also try a couple other things first.

Have you checked to see if another SD card works? Or are you sure that the current sd card works on any another device? Is it correct that now, even without the sdcard, the phone won't start?

You might also try pressing power and the volume up to see if it will reset and get through the boot sequence.

@Michelle - correct, the phone doesn't start with our without the sd card.

I tried the power and volume up but that doesn't work. I also tried to run the battery right down and recharge but nothing seems to help.

if you cannot get into the UI in anyway, I say sending it back is the only way.

In case you still have the phone. We had one other user with this issue and have worked with ZTE on it.

Our partner has released the US package for the recovery of ZTE Open purchased on US eBay. Please download the package from the link below and follow the instruction in PDF to recover your phone.
