My Firefox has been infected with MyNewTab. All attempts to remove it with various malware-removing software have failed. It does not appear in any list of installed software. I have found that I can only stop it from interferring with firefox by uninstalling firefox and reinstalling it - without syncing. So I am now trying to reinstatre Firefox to more or less how it was before. The only real issue is that before it had an add-on - Norton Safe Web - which is not added now. I tried uninstalling Norton 360 and reinstalling it in the hope it would get the addon added. It didn't. But according to what I read it is very easy to add an add-on. I can select it from the list of add-ons, thus displaying a page all about it. According to help notes, you just click to add-on this choicre. But I can see nowhere to click to do it. I've been over that page time after time but see no way of progressing. Help!!!
