You may be able to import those Favourites by telling Firefox to import data from Internet Explorer.

Importing from IE: Import Bookmarks and other data from Microsoft Edge

If you need your previous Firefox bookmarks, they would be in a different part of your backup.

Make sure you have Windows set to show you hidden files and folder: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files

Then you can explore in your backup for C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

You may have one or more partially randomly named profile folders there, each of which should contain a bookmarkbackups folder. Can you find a recently dated backup file?

If so, you could restore it to your desktop for easier access and use the Restore function: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.
