I have been using Firefox as my default web browser for a few years now. I have always been happy with it and enjoy this browser very much, that is until I downloaded the latest version, version 4.0.1. Since then, Firefox has slowed my pc down to a crawl. I have tried everything I can think of and cannot fix this problem. I'm so desperate and angered by this, I'm ready to un-install Firefox and go back to Internet Explorer. (OMG!) I pulled up Windows task manager and looked at the processes. Firefox is using memory like crazy. Since my wife and I log in to our pc separately, processes shows Firefox-Gary using 335,000 kb plus of memory and Firefox-Rosi using 154,000 kb plus of memory at the same time and that is with Firefox closed, no open browser. Why is that and what can I do about this?
