Hi zix, your bookmarks might be restored by Sync if you allow some time, but Sync works best for sharing data between two live installations of Firefox; it's less reliable as a backup service. If Sync does not work, were there any significant changes to your Firefox recently, such as "Refresh" (sometimes called a tune-up), or major changes to your system? If there were no major changes, check the Restore menu in the Library window to see whether you can restore a recent backup.
