Good day,

I have installed the latest version for win64. Every time the software is downloading emails (I use POP3 for gmail), if I am concurrently doing something else with it (e.g. selecting an email with the right mouse button to delete it, or creating an event for the calendar, or just selecting something from the menu bar), the software gets stuck. I then have to kill it and restart, sometimes it takes multiple kill and restart sequences.

I am using Thunderbird from the very beginning o fit, but this issue is pretty annoying. Any advise?

Hi Support, The last Thunderbird Version crash on Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.3 Mac Apple M2 Pro, 16 Gocot RAM The crash occurs after login to install a utility. => Therefore, I cant't use Thunderbird (I am a small Thunderbird doner). For several weeks (I have a work-around for accessing emails) I'm unable to open Thunderbird. First instance of this was Sunday evening Dec 28. I've attached a screenshot of what I see.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird (twice) with obviously no joy.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Please fully explain any file or procedural references; in other words, please do not assume I lmow what you're talking about.

Since i updated to 144 Thunderbird works well once started for a few minutes and then starts eating memory and in a few minutes it uses all system memory (64GB) and when virtual memory is exhausted it crashes

Now using 145 beta with same problem.

Using google calendar and only one plugin (Clippings for Thunderbird), tried to disable plugins, calendar, hardware acceleration, tried to compact folders, clear cache, clear msf with no success

Once I try to add a new email account and have entered the necessary data, I get the ad that the account will be created. However, the program simply hangs up and remains in that display.

Win 11 and Thunderbird 140 not working and I have tried all the things I found on the internet and none of them work. I have tried cleaning my registry and deleted directories and uninstalled thunderbird re-started and it will still not work.

I guess I have to forget thunderbird. It is a shame.

An elderly friend uses Thunderbird on her laptop, and up until recently it has been fine. Then it just sits there and doesn’t show any new emails, just kind of frozen. She can send emails but not receive them.. Previously another friend had downloaded BT software to act as an alternate to access her @btinternet.com emails…. Strangely she hadn’t received any emails for a few days…. I found that her emails were being auto forwarded to an unknown email. I disabled that and her emails arrived and were visible on the BT site. I downloaded the thunderbird app to her mobile and attempted to set her account up , with no luck.

Any suggestions. Should I delete the thunderbird stuff on both laptop and phone and re-install?

From time to time especially when I make a break and the screensaver starts Thunderbird crashes. There is a split between the taskbar of Cinnamon and Thunderbird. The program doesn't react anymore. The only way to use it is to kill it and start it again. I really don't know why this happens. It is a new phenomenon. Here are my Systeminformation: [code] System:

Thunderbird repeatedly crashes and locks up the task bar. The now frozen PC has to be rebooted by manually powering down the machine. I am in the release channel and using the latest version.

I am using Mozilla under Windows 10 in combiation with Bitdefender Anti-Virus-SW. Mozilla worked quite well with this combination. Since two day, I am not aware of any updates, I am not ablel to lauch Mozilla (no reaction). I deactived Bitdefender and tried also the protected mode for Mozilla (deactivating any add-ins). Unfortunately this had no impact. I could not find any helpful advice in forums. Prior de-installing and re-installing SW I am looking for additional hints.

Hello, when I start Thunderird, it appears for a few seconds and then a window pops up saying that a crash has been detected. I've already tried reinstalling the program, creating new profiles, entering Safe Mode, etc. Restoring an older profile from a backup doesn't help, and the error remains the same.

I tried transferring data from the old profile to the new one (a new, clean profile doesn't cause the error), but unfortunately, the data isn't visible in the program, along with the pgp keys and everything else. Manually editing prefs.js using chatgpt didn't help.

What else can I do?

For over 1 week now I am finding that T-Bird freezes or locks after I have opened several messages. Leaves me unable to read or delete messages and unable to close down T-bird

With thunderbird version 140.4.0esr (64-Bit) on Linux functions to print e-mails or pdf documents is no longer working. When trying to print an email or a pdf document thunderbird starts looping and you need to stop thunderbird from outside with a kill command.

I previously downloaded Thunderbird earlier this year. Somehow, I got things glitched and got locked out, so I bailed out and deleted Thunderbird.

Now, I've decided to try Thunderbird again, and I just downloaded it AGAIN (and made another donation), but I'm still locked out - can't get ANYWHERE with Thunderbird.

HELP!!!!!!!

When I open Thunderbird it opens to a blank screen and then crashes after a minute or two. I've tried restarting, quitting, restarting the computer and checked that the app is not blocked by any firewalls. When it opens to the blank screen, it does give me the pop-up notification if an email comes through, but it's still just a blank screen. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you
