Hi I bought a new android phone (the Xiaomi Poco F7) and I want to sync the Firefox from my Windows PC to the device. But when I try to scan the QR code it cannot be scanned. Please advise. Thank you

My account has not been updated since 2023?? Is there something you can do about this? Also there were links I clicked, the questions, and those haven't been updated.

Hi I normally use Firefox on my phone, but I recently decided to use it on my computer as well. Since I had forgotten my password, I reset it. After the reset, I can log in on my computer without any issues, but I cannot log in on my phone. When I try to sign in with my new password on mobile, it says the password is incorrect.

I also tried to use QR code sync, but it shows an "Unexpected error" message. At the moment, I can only access my account on my computer, but not on my phone.

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

syncing bookmarks between Android Mobile and desktop through shared Mozilla account, but the bookmarks from mobile aren't appearing on the desktop. I can see that both devices are logged in, but cannot see bookmarks being shared.

I recently switched to Linux and have been having trouble getting my bookmarks from my android device to sync to my desktop (Linux Mint). I have bookmarks enabled on the sync menu on both platforms, but I can't get them to sync over to my desktop from mobile at all; my only current option would be to painstakingly open them one-by-one from my desktop sync with the open tabs viewer (as I can't open all open tabs at once on Linux Firefox for some reason).

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just to tell me that this feature doesn't work on Linux.

Yes i tapped sync and on my mac's firefox, the android device is not even shown .. i can see my windows firefox there and see open tabs from there but not from android

why doens't android firefox sync ?

Deleted the app then reinstall it and logged in but there's no passwords no bookmarks no collections no nothing, Is there absolutely no way to recover my old bookmarks and passwords?

What's the point of having to sign in and make an account if everything going to disappear just because I deleted the app and then reinstall it?

Hello, hope you're doing well So I deleted the app by accident, downloaded again , tried to sign in but I forgot the password so I reset it and signed in normally, however there's no bookmarks, no past history tabs, and most importantly no passwords, everything is gone, tried syncing multiple times but it didn't work.

Trying to sync my samsung to my windows PC and there is no "sync and save data" button. I went to my account and to sync settings and then pressed "sync now", but still nothing happened

I got a new samsung and attempted to transfer tabs from one phone to another, however anything that ive tried or searched, either didnt match my issue or it simply didnt work. "Sync now" doesnt work and all of that.

Got a new Google Pixel and I'm trying to sign in to my Firefox account, but both the email method and scan method both lead me to errors. I've reinstalled Firefox on my phone already and also tried running and refreshing Firefox on my PC but no luck.

I recently encountered an issue where Firefox stopped working properly, so I uninstalled and then reinstalled the browser. After reinstalling, I logged back into my Firefox account, but none of my data (such as bookmarks, saved passwords, history, etc.) has been restored.

Every time I install Firefox and try to synchronise data it says open the hamburger menu and tap synchronise and save data. I have never found the synchronise and save data setting. It is not apparently visible when you touch the hamburger menu. So where is it hiding? I've never been able to find it?

I accidentally deleted my Firefox account on my Windows laptop and lost all my data. However, my Samsung S24 still shows my data, although it indicates that the last sync was on March 6. How can I sync my laptop with my mobile phone to recover the data from my phone? When I click "Sync Now" on my phone, nothing happens. Thank you.

I noticed today that Firefox isn't syncing.

Every time I tap the "Synchronize now" region, nothing happens. Please see the image. I cannot select what to sync either.

I have signed put and in, cleared cache and restarted the phone.

Before today sync was working fine.

When attempting to sync my data on my android device it doesn't do anything. I'm currently in the account settings on my phone and when I hit "sync now" it just does nothing.

Hello everyone, my name is Francesco and I have a big problem that I can't solve in any way! I just can’t seem to solve a synchronization issue between two Firefox 135.0.1 (64-bit) installations on a Laptop and a PC (both running Linux Mint 22) and a Firefox 135.0.1 (Build #2016074239) on Android. Can someone please help me? I'm desperate!

Let’s start from the beginning: For a very long time, every time I connected to the internet with Firefox on my Laptop or mobile, my bookmarks would get completely messed up: folders duplicated endlessly, some empty, others identical to the original ones. The same happened with the bookmarks themselves: separators almost all moved to the bottom and multiple duplicates of my countless bookmarks.

After several failed attempts following posts from other users who had the same or a similar problem, as well as some Firefox support how-tos, I decided to try a different approach, which was also described in a post.

First, after logging out of my account on all three devices, I backed up my bookmarks from my PC in different formats (.html, .json), and after closing Firefox, I also backed up the cookies.sqlite, favicons.sqlite, and places.sqlite files—just in case! Then, I deleted all folders and bookmarks from the other two devices.

I then spent the whole afternoon cleaning up my bookmarks on the PC: removing duplicates and redundant folders, organizing separators and bookmarks the way I wanted, and making new backups as mentioned above. After that, I logged into my account from my mobile, triggered a sync from there, then logged into the other devices and started the synchronization on them as well.

But it didn’t work. 😞

PC and Laptop synced beautifully, everything was perfect, but the mobile, despite showing that it was syncing, remained empty—and still is.

I tried several forced sync methods as suggested in some Firefox how-tos (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1482205 and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-set-firefox-sync-firefox-android), and I also followed procedures from other posts where users had similar issues, but nothing worked.

I even tried different approaches: logging out and back in first with my PC, then with my mobile; replacing all bookmarks with the ones I had exported in good condition; checking if there was a new update on Google Play. But my mobile remains completely empty—no bookmarks at all.

So, after more than four hours of trial and error, I'm losing my mind 🤯, and I’m also getting seriously exhausted (it’s now 2 AM, and I’ve been up since 5 AM!).

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? A plugin? A folder on the mobile where I can manually place the saved files? Maybe a well-aimed hammer strike in a specific spot on the phone? Anything? At this point, even just a good joke might help me get through the frustration. 😜

Now, I just hope I can get some sleep—I’m so stressed that… 😭

I'm experiencing an issue with Firefox where my saved passwords from my desktop aren't syncing to my Android phone. Pressing the "Sync Now" button doesn't trigger any action. I've tried several troubleshooting steps, including removing and readding the device, force stopping the app, clearing cache and data, and manually syncing again, but nothing has worked. It seems like a bug. Any suggestions?
