Hi. Is there a way to customize the order of Firefox headers and footers on printed pages (including print-to-pdf)?

I prefer the header to be url only, in the center. While the footer has page on left; title in the center, and date on the right.

This used to be easy to accomplish with print options in older versions, then -- as the print dialog changed (and actually improved a lot in most *other* ways) I had to turn to about:config modifications like those described in the 1/27/21 reply here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1323433. But now I can't seem to find any way to have any control over print headers besides "on" and "off."

One problem I find with having both page title and url on top is that these can be long, causing one or both to be truncated.

I'm using Firefox 115.3esr.

so firefox I am logged out, you can tell where it say "save and sync - sign in". but even though I am not signed in, my passwords and addons are still showing up.

I asked this question some time back here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1362859 I'm asking again to reframe the question. The problem is - if my experience is a guide to the rest of the world - VTT files (which are used to caption HTML video) are no longer read/loaded by Firefox when it is viewing the HTML file locally (i.e. file://). On the web they are loaded as expected. Presumably there's a security setting somewhere in Firefox that now refuses to load the VTTs locally. Maybe under Help > More troubleshooting information there is a setting to change to fix that?

Hi, I completely uninstalled the firefox and re installed the latest version. The problem is that I have lost all the passwords and email addresses. how do i retrieve this information Some experts suggested to use recuva. I have tried . But how do I use recuva to retrieve the password. Please explain in detall. If it is saved in pc, please give me instructions how to retrieve. Could I opt for system restore to have the previous firefox with all the passwords. how do I select the profile in roaming folder, appdata roaming folder to copy the same to my newly installed firefox. I would like to change the url border color when it has the focus to blue.

The code below works, except when you press Escape.

After hitting Escape, the urlbar still has the focus but its border changes back to gray. It should remain blue.

I would also like to remove the box-shadow after pressing Escape, when the urlbar is not expanded (to mimic the behavior of FF 88).

The url and search input fields also do the same goofy thing Windows 10 does - the cursor stops blinking after 5 blinks and remains frozen. Any way to remove that behavior and keep the cursor blinking? If not, no big deal, the other stuff above is more important.

Any code suggestions to get that behavior are welcome!

I've been on the net since probably 1995, working in the computer industry. I buy a lot of items on the web, especially Ebay. I like to save the entire listing at the time I bought the item. Why, because listings change and it's frustrating. This way I have the full page in my Documents folder. Over the years, I've been running into problems with save Web Page Complete. More times then not it Fails, no reasons, just the little download icon goes red and it failed. That's how I know...I have read other support questions, but nothing other than a screen shot is recommended...Ugh. how can one screen shot save a page that scrolls in my browser for many pages...

So Why Do complete web pages fail to save?

Why are there no Descriptive Errors?

Is there something I can do to ensure I get this feature working again, reliably that is;-)

Every solution which I have found for Firefox 89 "Proton" so far which moves the Tabs Bar below the Navigation Bar (AKA "address bar"), with the Menu Bar above it, does NOT move the Tabs Bar below the Bookmarks Bar. The Bookmarks Bar appears to be overwritten and blank, and occupies space below the Menu Bar, Navigation Bar, and Tabs Bar. This empty space separates the three bars which are implemented and the content of the currently-selected tab below it.

Currently, my userChrome.css file is a copy posted by Cor-el (?):

Evidently, the text editor for this website does several things to the above original text that, frankly, seem unnecessary and undesirable. The .CSS file is just an unformatted text file, so what is the problem with simply copying its contents and pasting it in to the body of this post?

Which is also to say that I do NOT have a clue as to what any line in the file is meant to do, what effect it has, why it is even in the file at all, or why it is written in the way that it is. So DO NOT tell me that I "CAN" create a Cascading Style Sheet on my own when I cannot even modify one that has been provided.

On the face of it, something is missing from the above CSS text. What change needs to be made to the above content so that the Bookmark Bar will appear between the Navigation Bar and the Tabs Bar??

Everything was fine until about an hour ago. Suddenly over half My tabs quit working. Either the display is weird and all text, or the page is blank, or there is a small "broken image" icon in the upper left... A few tabs are working fine. On X I get a notice saying, "Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com."

I tried turning off tracking (which was NOT "strict!!!"), and that did not fix the problem.

What is going one????

I upgraded my FireFox to the latest version 88.0 today, and noticed some changes on right click menu. In the old version, the keyboard shortcut key is a to copy a link, but now it was changed to L. That is really inconvenient. As you know, when you right click a link using the mouse, your right hand is still holding the mouse, and not easy to press the letter L on the keyboard.

The old menu option is "Copy Link Locaton", but the new one is "Copy Link".

Is it possible to customize the keyboard shortcut of right click menu, please?

Firefox 115.12esr slow to startup takes up to 10 second to load the first time now Firefox was fine in version 112.esr. to bad Firefox forces updates, even when the update make Firefox worse. https://snipboard.io/QF0ERT.jpg of course it works faster without extensions, that does not mean anything. I would reinstall the older version but Mozilla fixed so we cannot. I do not have time to reinstall all the extension so I am left with a useless Firefox. To bad Firefox does not allow reinstall of extension automatically, a reset of Firefox would also make Firefox useless; I am at a loss to how to continue to support Mozilla and not switch to another browser?

I'm trying to set the border color for my url & search bars to gray when non-focused, and blue when receiving the focus.

The following code works for the search bar, but the url bar is receiving a separate blue border around the gray border, instead of changing the color from gray to blue.

Can someone suggest how I might set the url bar to blue (just a single border, not the double it has now), both when it has focus and when it's expanded?

Can't login to usaa.com banking site. keeps refreshing login page Using FF desktop latest ver. / win 7

I enter/submit my USAA username on the login page via a username dialog box. I then expect the password dialog box to open, but when I submit the username, FF flashes, i.e. the password dialog box displays for a split second and reverts right back to the username dialog box.

This happens at usaa.com with my user agent set to Windows/FF v 113. BUT if I set the user agent to Android/phone FF v 113, USAA detects the browser as Android/phone FF and it redirects to user agent to https://mobile.usaa.com where I AM able to enter username/password and login.

So what is wrong with FF? There are multiple threads of users unable to login to banking and other sites on the FF browser.

It has recently come to my attention that Mozilla may not continue to support Firefox browsers installed on Windows 7 computers after Jan. 2023, when the extended support for Windows 7 ends. Is that correct?

Will Firefox continue to work, but not receive security updates after that date?

Will Firefox still work on a Windows 7 computer that gets patches from 0Patch?

The problem started recently (perhaps a week ago), after one of the FIrefox updates. WHen I disable an add-on, after several seconds it re-enables itself. All of them, the same way, so it is not like it is a problem with one of them. I cleared FF history, cookies etc, still the same problem. I did not do any changes to the computer.

Hi, I have spent hours this morning trying to diagnose a problem with Firefox Update 115. It is Unstable and I can't Stream Music from Youtube or even Amazon Music. Web pages from sites I use everyday are out of order when displaying text as well. It's a real mess. Now, here's the kicker, I haven't been able to stream my music from both aforementioned websites, but get this, if I use the Incognito Browser, Music streams No Problem. Seems like you guys broke something in the main FF browser. I have spent hours trying to debug this and have concluded that your most recent Update has broken streaming links. I can't rollback the Update and that is even more frustrating. Please Fix This. BTW, your Help Pages really stink. Sorry, but they offer no help when the problem is clearly FF. I ASSUME my passwords are in the 149KB json file? If I delete logins.json (2kb) and rename one of the 149KB to logins.json, when I reopen firefox, it just does it again: renames logins.json to logins.json.corrupt (149kb) and creates a new logins.json (2kb). Is there anyway to recover these passwords? Windows 7 Latest version of firefox

Contrast disappears when I klick 'Login' eg. on 'https://www.elektor.de/'; other browsers are ok. AdGuard on or off makes no difference. Kind Regards [removed email from public]
