Recent update from MSFT (?) anyhow, suddently Firefox has crashed and can no longer access - can no longer uninstall and reinstall. Simply does not work & I am hoping to be able to correct this so all my various bookmarks, passwords, etc are not suddenly gone

I cannot get into Firefox due to an error message that keeps coming up. Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling it, but it didn't really uninstall completely. I have tried a few suggestions from online, which didn't work. I also tried right clicking on the Firefox symbol and went into some of the different options, but nothing worked for me.

yesterday my email wasn't opening links and then Firefox acted strangely so I cleared the cache. (I'm on windows 11) Today when I clicked on the app icon it created a shortcut instead of launching Firefox. What is going on? I have used FireFox as my default browser for the past 15 or more years and I don't want to switch to Chrome or MS Edge.

I was able to open Firefox by going to the app under settings - but that is not how I have done it before.

Any thoughts as to what is happening?

My Mozilla Firefox browser is not working. It does not open when I try to start it. I have restarted my computer, but the issue still persists. Please help me fix this problem.

I have an app showing on my desktop. It does nothing. I would like to be able to use my previous desktop for using firefox. If that is not possible. I would simply like to use.

I had been using the Mozilla Firefox VPN for a few weeks, but now it will not launch. I sign in without a problem but when I click on the VPN icon on the toolbar, nothing happens. I just get the pop-up to try the VPN and "Get Started" (see attachment).

Please advise.

After most recent Windows 11 and Firefox updates, Firefox will not open on my PC. I thought I had managed to Refresh it today Troubleshooting Mode - got a "Success" message - but that message was overlaid with a box that wanted me to agree to terms and conditions, etc. and when I clicked the Continue button, nothing happened. So I had to close what little of Firefox was on my screen; got the Not Responding message, then the Close or Wait message (waiting is useless), so I hit Close and the error was again reported to Windows (big whoop). Should I uninstall Firefox and start over???? I have no clue how to save all my bookmarks and associated passwords.

I got so frustrated with not being able to reinstall Firefox because I kept getting the error message "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible". So I deleted all the profiles after copying them to an external hard drive. Then I copied the file ending in.test from the Old Firefox data folder on my desktop to the AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/ profile. Then I copied the biggest file ending in .default from the backed up Local profiles to the AppData/Local/Mozilla/Firefox/ profile. It doesn't matter if I delete or keep the Old Firefox data folder on my desktop, I still get the Profile Missing error message. What can I do, so my laptop would appear as if it had been powered up straight out of the box and never had Firefox initially installed or what do I do with my profiles to make them accessible?

Best topic is covered by all of the options, unfortunately! If I have done anything incorrectly it was done thru lack of tech savvy for which I apologize for. I have to go take care of the horses now, thank you for any help you may have.

I have been with Firefox for years as default browser but recently been having probs. It wont open from Start or my taskbar. Keeps going to New tab at top of screen. Tried reinstalling but still the same. What has happened?

latest update from 150.01 to 150.02 crashed compatibility error can't open firefox. error platform version 150.01 is not compatible with minver>=150.02. can't even open anymore

I was trying to do something with my bookmarks yesterday and I must have pushed the wrong icon. Firefox then became unavailable. I'm 88 years old and not fully at home with computer language. I tried Chrome, but it's not available like Firefox.

How can I resolve the failure to open because it can't find the XPCOM. I downloaded a new copy but the computer insists on using the older, faulty version to open files and it will not work.

Hello, I cannot open my browser. I did try Microsoft edge and that one worked....but I want my Firefox one! I did reset my modem. Can you help me please?
