As a Chinese user, I am very dissatisfied with the inability to use the translation function. I request to add a Chinese option to the Firefox translation package. Thank you!

If you are currently using a normal window then there are ways to open a bookmark or link in a private window. But if you are currently using a private window then how would you open a bookmark or link in a normal window?

I have tried several things including pressing shift+enter or choosing "Open in new Window" from the context menu, but this just opens the bookmark or link in a new private window.

My current method is to copy the address of the bookmark or link then paste it into the address bar of a normal window.

But is there a more direct method of opening bookmarks or links in a normal window, if currently in a private window?

Is there a way to enable sounds when the built in pop-up blocker blocks a pop-up or make the banner more noticeable? I often dont realize a pop-up has been blocked and cant figure out why I' not getting the new content

I have routinely copied multiple cells of Excel data and pasted it into Word in either Box or on my laptop. The pasted data is pasted into a Word chart - each Excel cell of data is pasted into its own box in the Word chart. However after just moving to One Drive, the copy/paste action fails to paste correctly into Word via One Drive. Instead of each Excel cell of data being pasted into its own box in the Word chart, all the cell data from Excel gets pasted into only the 1st box in Word when using One Drive. This is unique to Foxfire. The problem does not occur using Edge or Chrome. Can you please help to suggest what might be an easy solution. This is on a brand new Dell Latitude using Windows 11. Hello, when in the library, pressing F6 is meant to "Focus Search Field". This is documented at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly

However, since a recent update this no longer works. Instead, pressing F6 now switches the keyboard focus to the lefthand tree pane. A further press of shift+tab is needed to move to the search box.

My questions are: Has F6 stopped jumping to the library search box for anyone else? If so, was this a deliberate design choice? Does anyone know of an alternate keyboard shortcut to jump to the searchbox? Finally, is there anyway to revert to the old F6 behaviour?

Even if you can only answer the first question that would help, so I can determine whether or not it is just my Firefox. Although I have already tested in a brand new profile with the same results.

I've chosen Tips and tricks, hopefully it means this will be an article/explanation instead of a question. I had the opposite problem to PDF files should not download, only open in browser and was happy to find out in the OP attachment that the action for each file-types could be changed. I didn't want my bandwidth strain of having to download PDF twice anymore (especially ones with many images).

I was going to leave the following on a comment of the other thread but it was locked.

Every time I right click and select "Open Link in New Tab" Firefox is not opening this new tab next to the current tab. It instead moves this new tap to the end of all the tabs (of the current website). This is an annoying behavior, I have to go all the way to the end of the tabs to look at the name page that I just opened. How do I fix this behavior?

Hi, how can I zoom in and out on websites without changing any display or layout? For example, on some sites, zooming changes the layout of the text so that it all fits on the screen. Or zooming on some sites doesn't affect the size of the images, only the text. How can I zoom in so as to see the page in its original layout but with a wider view, thus preserving the scales of all the elements (as if I were zooming in on a picture) ? (in the screen below, zooming change the relative scale of the elements) Thank you for your help.

When I enter a search term like "Boston hotels map" I'm looking for a map but instead I get a list of commercial web sites that are trying to sell me a hotel room - how do I change this so that I get information, not ads?

In numerous cases i have found not to be beneficial when website's search function is activated on Ctrl+F keyboard shortcut and where is better to use regular Firefox on-page search instead. I think that the good site has search button/area visible so i can use it when needed.

So please how to disable Firefox's search (Ctrl + F keyboard shortcut) to activate website's internal search? I want to always use regular Firefox on-page search that i now trigger by left Alt (to show the FF menu), click Edit menu, click Find in page.... (since Ctrl+F is occupied by website's internal search).

How to SWITCH TO TAB when i enter something in address bar and I have this page opened? When I search my question, I get answers like "how to DISABLE...", but I need to ENABLE this feature. Firefox 122. When I type in Address bar something like "google.com" and I already have opened this site in another tab, I want FF to switch this tab instead open a new tab/window. How can I ENABLE this feature?

I'm trying to import a password csv file generated by Roboform into firefox password editor. I've exported the csv file from Roboform but when I try to import to the Firefox password page I get: "Incorrect or missing column headers. Make sure the file includes columns for username, password and URL". The csv file does have column headings. Is there a way to do this?

How do I get access to a page that is unsafe if I want it. As I do service a lot of old machines and it is anoying that I have to use all the time a different browser because of not getting thrue to the page if it is for example only http:// and has not Cert.

This anoying feature is very bad as it is destroying the usage reason of firefox.

While hovering over a Youtube video it shows the full video title as "hover text" if the tab is focused. However, if something else, even another Firefox window is focused hovering no longer shows anything. Is there some kind of setting to change that? I figured it could be browser and Youtube specific because Chrome shows it on Youtube even when not focused, but neither browser shows it on Google search for example, but I'm not sure.
