Just after installing Firefox Quantum v66.0.2 (64 bit), I am now seeing tens of items being blocked by Ghostery, NoScript and UBlock, items I have not seen being blocked in the past. Is this new version of Firefox subject to being immediately hijacked as soon as it is updated? Is there now something different in Firefox's security for this new version? I have checked ALL of my Firefox settings and all settings are set just as I want them to be set, with this exception: I seem to have many more certificates than I really need and many of them appear to be from countries other than the US. Would I encounter problems if I just deleted all the current certificates in order to update the required certificates? Thank you, Rusty
are DigiNotar certificates safe, because it reads they are not trusted. can they be safely removed?

I don't know if "googleadservices" is an uninvited addon or virus but it inserts itself at the start of any webpage searched for. It effectively prevents the web page from opening at all, der! I cannot find any way of removing it, and ineffective advice has driven me to uninstall Firefox out of frustration, which of course is not what I want to do. From what I can see its been around for a number of years, so why is it still an issue in Feb. 2018?

So, i've just received an email that someone "signed in to my account with Firefox 18 on 2016-06-23 15:18 UTC" Can i get info which IP/location was used while doing so ? I've already changed my password, but knowing that emails come with some delay and all you need is just a few seconds to sync all your passwords id say its a pretty bad thing..

I'm facing an Audit from our Security which is asking how the automatic update process of Mozilla Firefox is secured against Manipulation or malicious Software. The fear is that per example somebody could manipulate the update to load an infected File instead of the original Firefox Update. I've already searched for half a day through the Internet and in the Mozilla wiki but could not find a description of this. Could you please provide me a Whitepaper or similar which describes how Mozilla Firefox ensures that only official and not manipulated Updates can be loaded and installed e.g. does the Client validate the installer hash before execution etc.
Here would be the equivalent Information from Google about Chrome: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/privacy/whitepaper.html https://github.com/google/omaha/blob/master/doc/install-update-overview.png

I get a mixture of these when I attempt to load a secure website.
1.
uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not
trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server
might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates.
An additional root certificate may need to be imported. (Error
code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
2.
Permissions
you have not granted this site any special permissions
3. Connection is not secure
I have deleted cert8.db. I have refreshed firefox. Some sites will load secure but will still not have permissions. Other sites i.e support firefox will load but it will be in all text be secure but will still not have permissions. Youtube the site will load but videos don't play and certain things on the website will just not load correctly. I am running windows 7 x64 and I use eset nod 32 9 as my anti-virus.
My firefox was working just fine then I woke up today tried using it as normal and pages would have all those combinations of issues. It always has on all sites with security now
2. Permissions you have not granted this site any special permissions
Other internet browsers do work and are secure I just really want to get back to using firefox.

is there a way not to have to answer captchas? I know it's for security reasons but sometimes it's just annoying and I don't want to use any Rimula or captcha Monster out there because they are not 100% reliable! I want to get rid of the probleme itself. I don't want to harm anyone or dammage anything but sometimes I just don't have time for Captcha writing!
