I keep getting popups from Firefox saying different things about Firefox. How can I stop it? They usually disappear in a few seconds, although the first one I get when I first open Firefox requires me to click an X in the corner to get it to go away. Very annoying.

I can not open PDF files within Firefox, nor can I open them in an external program like Adobe Acrobat Reader. They automatically save to my Downloads folder instead. I have already changed the settings for "Portable Document Format (PDF)" under Options > General > Applications to be "Preview in Firefox" and I have also tried changing it to "Use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC". Neither seem to be working. It still downloads the file instead of opening it. I have also verified that there are no extensions that may be affecting the way the setting behaves, and there is nothing.

Malwarebytes quarantined some viruses but could not delete from their site and asked me to try with their instructions: I could not do it so I uninstalled Firefox. When I tried to reinstall Malwarebytes Blocked the install. When I try to install a pop up states we see you had fire fox before we will reload for you. No other options. It fails
