When I try to close a tab, if I place my cursor over the X icon and click, nothing happens. If I carefully hover the tip of my cursor over the very bottom of the (invisible) box around the X, the box will turn darker grey and I can finally click and close the tab. I'd estimate the grey box around the X is 1cmx1cm, but only the bottom 1-2mm elicit a response.

I have restarted Firefox and my computer. My browser version is up to date. I am not using any extensions. I am on a 2009 Mac running Yosemite.

For about a month I'm unable to log into my Yahoo Mail account from Firefox on my Mac. All the proper screens appear and I fill them in, but when I hit "login" Firefox hangs. I see the circle thingy rotating indefinitely.

I know this is a Firefox issue because I can access my mail from another browser (e.g. Safari). I think it also relates specifically to Macs because I've never had this issue on my PC.

Firefox is the latest version (78.2.0esr (64-bit)). The Mac is a Mac Pro Mid-2012 running Yosemite 10.10.5.

I am using Firefox on a 2013 Macbook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.5. Every week or so Firefox closes on its own. I will be using Firefox all week and then return to find that Firefox has closed and I can't restore my session. There is no crash report. Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this to happen and what to do to prevent it? Is there a setting that I don't know about that limits session lengths? This does seem to happen at pretty regular intervals. It doesn't happen with other browsers or applications. Thanks.

How do I underline a blank space in a website address? The underline is there on Word for Mac, but when I paste in the address on Firefox, the underline disappears.

The only way I am able to login into Bands in Town manager is through my facebook account (https://manager.bandsintown.com/login), but I am not able to through Firefox browser. I am able to do it through Safari Browser so it seems that it's something to do with the firefox browser. I restarted my computer and updated the firefox browser but it is still not working.

For years now FireFox has failed to fix the bug in their preferences that continues to open new links on top of old tabs - destroying what ever work was present there. This has been reported in every version for year and it is extremely irritating that FireFox does not address this time wasting and frustrating issue. Please fix this.

Can anyone tell me why, when I go to a legitimate website, I get a big yellow screen saying, "Warning: Security Risk Ahead? I am trying to go to real websites, for instance it will not let me go to www.equifax.com I know this is a real website, but Mozilla won't let me access it. Not only that, but once Mozilla rejects it, I can't access the site through any other browser. Please help. I need to get into these sites.

Please help me someone. For awhile now when I am on Yahoo's home page 75% of what is on the page will not open up. It shows that there is something there like a empty space with nothing in it, and just nothing ever happens. Pretty much any other webpage is fine but Yahoo is a problem... What gives?

I want to know can someone hack Gmail accounts without logging in? I received mails from instagram that new login has been from new device with location from russia. another email few minutes after the first saying new login from iphone from bangladesh ,and third email that the password has been changed . The username which was mentioned is not created by me.someone used my email. also how does Instagram have my email address?As it might be I had a Instagram account which was created in 2019 and then deleted the app from my phone.I had only used it for few days. There is no direct complaint portal where such kind of incidents can be reported.all is automated which is dumb. I tried to complain but emails relies were to send a authenticated government ID which I should hold in my hands and send them a picture so they can authenticate and take action for the account. As I informed that the user ID is not the one which I have created why they should have my ID? but no response and same reply again. is there a dummy Instagram website?which we log in through the net instead of the app? is this a phising scam ? I changed the password and also put in new email address in the same account with the same username . I want to find out more and also alert those who might fall victim of such events. Please help if have more knowledge about it.

This is not a question. It is a complaint. I can't see anywhere else to lodge it.

I am on a mac mini. I keep getting "Secure connection failed and Firefox did not connect" on secure government sites and others that I know are just fine. I'm sick of it. This did not happen till recently and I have not changed my settings or preferences for over a year.

When I get this message these days, guess what I do - I switch browsers. I would like to keep using Firefox. I like it. However, I get this message on too many sites to put up with it any longer. If it isn't adjusted in the next update, I will strongly consider switching browsers permanently.

Even Safari allows me to continue to the site - certificate or no certificate. Blocking me from the site is ridiculous. Fix it.

what is the logic behind the moronic popout address bar? why was the arrow button removed? was there perhaps a petition signed by millions asking for it? I don't remember seeing one. why was the option to disable it removed with the latest release? do you think we all want to use Firefox but feel like we're using Chrome? copying your competitor in order to attract its users isn't exactly the best USP. it serves no purpose whatsoever, and everything about it hurts the eye - the sparsed out list when you click on it, the fading edges, the whole white-blue mobile-on-desktop aesthetic, it's just hideous.

why can't this nonsense be made optional? if there are hordes of bored developers who need to justify their existence by fiddling with stuff that nobody complains about then fine, let them go at it, but make it optional for those of us who don't want to live by corporate diktat, and whose opnions and feedback you so profess to care about.

I despair, I really do. I've been using FF pretty much since it began, and if this isn't fixed with the next relase, I'm happy to wave goodbye, not that anyone cares, but there you have it.

I just read in Firefox Monitor that I showed up in 6 breaches.

When I looked at the details, they were all reported before I changed my password.

So - if I'd already changed my password after those breaches were discovered, do I need to change it again?

My wife and I share one desktop iMac. We use different login accounts. I currently use Firefox. She can only use Safari. I would like her to be able use Firefox. Can she download it and use it separately for herself? If so is there anything special I need to do or just have her download and install it. Thank you.

FF didn't used to be so slow. It now get really slow and uses a lot of RAM to the extend that my disk is full and I have to shutdown FF.

I do have like 30 tabs open, with one or two Slack-like web apps. However, I'm not using them all at the same time. In the first couple of quantum releases it didn't used to be this slow, never mind pre-quantum performance. Oh and I'm not gonna compare to Chrome or Chromium.

Any help with this? Is it the extensions causing it?

• Also I never found a proper replacement to legacy Tab Session Manager (the quantum one is no where near as good).
