I am unable to import logins using a csv file even though I followed instructions and enabled that functionality on the about:config page. After choosing "Import from a file" I get a page with a yellow header asking me to enter my "Primary Password" to view logins. When I click the "log in" button to do this, immediately I get an empty page that says "No synced logins found."

My logins disappeared after I "refreshed" Firefox. Now I'm sorry I did that. I do still have the logins on a different computer (hence the csv file).

I want to restore part of a large bookmark library, say 100 out of 800. I have both HDMI and JSON backups but they seem to want to only restore the entire library. I seem to be constantly "loosing" segments of my bookmarks. Some time later, they seem to show back up.???

For a while now, some websites have not worked properly under Firefox, but since the last update I am getting even more problems. I have followed advice on this forum but nothing has worked. Is there anything I can do or must I stop using Firefox? I am using Firefox 78.5.0esr because my OS is Mac OS 10.11.6 and I can't update it as newer versions won't work with someof my programs.

Problem of the day, after really not doing anything else but restarting the iMac:

the volume icon vanished and I could not figure out why and how to restore it.

I'd appreciate advice for having it back as it is really impacting my used of websites that imply sound.

1. I have ALL cookies blocked in all windows, through the CUSTOM option. Some websites defined in the Exception list as Blocked and some websites that I cannot recognize (and are not on the Exception list as Allowed or Allowed for session), still save cookies that I can see under Manage Data. The first two screen captures )on the left) show Google as blocked, but still saving cookies. Is this a feature or a bug?

2. I am using a website called athenahealth. It forced me to allow for session a bunch of domains and subdomains, including one that starts with 8752-2.

The last 2 screen captures show: - info in the Shield for cookies, where the subdomain starting w. 8752-2 is shown as blocked

- the list of exceptions that shows this same subdomain (starting w. 8752-2) as allowed for session.

How is the above possible? Is this the way this is meant to work?

3. Is there a way to copy out, export or at least print the list of websites under Exceptions? I am concerned that somehow they are deleted (I was reading that Refresh deletes them, maybe something else does that too) and it took me quite a lot of experimentation to figure out what is that I have to allow for websites that I need vs. what I can safely block, when blocking ALL doesn't do the job.

4. Is there anything planned to allow a preview before printing (like in Safari) to facilitate printing only what one wants to print?

I'd very much appreciate answers to the above.

Had to buy a new MacBook Pro yesterday as my old one died. I have been using Firefox as my default browser for years. With the new computer certain websites such as wunderground.com cause Firefox to crash. This happens even in safe mode and with hardware acceleration turned off. Any advice will be deeply appreciated.

ok so I am using firefox on my school computer and I recently I used bing for my xbox to get points. but when I used bing all of a sudden yahoo is my search engine even the in settings it says google. I hate yahoo does anyone know how to get google back?

When I opened Firefox this morning, I got a pop-up I've never seen before, that said something like "Firefox is slow. Refresh Firefox." So I did that. Then I added back the add-ons I want to use. The add-ons are installed and working. But there are no icons in the toolbar. There is no overflow arrow. Just a blank space where the icons used to be. I've searched for solutions for two hours now. Can't figure it out.

Since a few weeks only whenever you start browsing on any browser, a window opens asking you to agree or refuse the settings for tracking by cookies etc. Does this procedure annulate myown prefenrences settings?

Most of the people don't care about that and tired of being harrassed just agree to all trackings and cookies. But I don't want to be tracked and my preferences settings are all personnalised and quite strict on what I agree and what I don't agree.

So if firefox asks me to agree before I'm allowed to browse, and I agree to all of the tracking, does this annulate my privacy settings in the parametres?

When I start up Firefox, my home page is a small square (3 inches square) showing a portion of my home page. When I try to expand the area (i.e. I hit the green button) it takes up the entire screen but I do not have access to the tool bar above the screen. Nothing I do seems to clear this up. I tried taking a screen shot of both screens but I got a message that the screen shot was too large. I don't know if there is a way to get around that or if my problem is common enough that someone can figure out what is happening. Help please!!

My MacBook Pro is running OS 11.0.1 and using Firefox 83.0. My battery runs down faster than it used to. Apple suggested checking the Activity monitor and I noticed several instances of FirefoxCP Web Content. I have lots of tabs open. Most of them are using <1% of CPU, but one is about 50%. Is there any way to figure out what that is other than shutting down the tabs one at a time and watching the Activity Monitor?

Lately, every time I download a photoshop file, it now opens Photoshop and opens the file. How do I disable that from happening? I just want the file. I don't need to see it open. This has just been happening recently and I don't always need to open the files right away. It just slows my progress down and it's annoying! Thank you in advance!

I have been trying all day to access the Centers for Disease Control website at cdc.gov. Firefox (83.0/Mac) just says it can't contact the server. I used Network Utility to look up the IP address of the site, which reported 198.246.102.49. I entered that address into Firefox and it refused to go there, saying it was a potential security risk.

So I tried Safari (14.0.1), and cdc.gov loads immediately with no problems.

I'm using Firefox as my daily drive Browser, nowadays I start to face a issue, trying to load a page, Binance, when I go to the Site, this one doesn't load at all, bunch of elements stuck during the load with the error message [HTTP/2 403 Forbidden 279ms] (take a look to the attached file).

I clean all the data (Cache and Cookies) in Firefox, but still facing the issues, So, I tried with different Browser, In this case, Chrome, and the page load Properly without any problem.

So, what could be the problem? if anyone have been face the same problem or something similar?

Note: I used before the site without problem.

Firefox won't play any video, on any website at all. I get different error messages on different sites, such as: The video playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the video used features your browser did not support OR Sorry, we're having trouble with playing this video. I've tried following some of the advice in the forums here, so I cleared the cache and the cookies, I ensured DRM content is enabled, and I unchecked the 'Use hardware acceleration when possible' option under preferences. None of this has made any difference. I also restarted firefox and installed an adobe flash player add on. Still no success. Any advice?

In the screenshot I've provided you can plainly see that "Provide search suggestions" is unchecked, yes the browser continues to provide search suggestions based on my search history.

How to make this stop?
