I am a web application developer. My application is using open authentication. As part of the login process the application stores information in the session storage of the browser. Then the user is redirected to a login page. When, after a successful login, the user is redirected back, the information in the session storage is gone. The same problem when I use local storage.
This problem only occurs with the setting: Never remember history.
Is this a bug or a feature?
Other browsers do not have this behavior.

On a metered [or slow] connection, this is a big problem.
Viewing a news article on ABC [for example] pre-loads the entire video in the background.
To make matters worse; Even after the entire video has been cached, a steady stream of 200KB/s is still continually streamed from the CDN.

If you monitor bandwidth with Firefox's network monitor, or a 3rd party tool [like jnettop for Linux], you'll see that the page continues to load video data.
Not only would I expect it to not load any if playback is disabled, but it certainly shouldn't continue to load data, perpetually, after the entire video has been buffered.

Have even tried deleting all "print." and "print_" setting from the "prefs.js" file. Still no change. Where is the default "shrink to fit" size store so I can change it manually?

I often have green arrow on firefox hamburger menu, with "download fresh copy of firefox" as first option. And every time I launch FF I get notification to update.
But this is nonsense in linux - I can't update that way and, what is more important, I can update only when new version drops in my distro repos by maintainers. Obviously, there must be the way to disable at least notifications (which are annoying cause of nonsense) - in most linux distributions FF is updated by pkg managers.
I did not find solution in google - looks like it was earlier but now it isn't working anymore. Any help?
