Hi all ,

this site used to work properly in FF 59 now in 60 the video loads for a few seconds then it freezes ,

i disable firefox privacy.trackingprotection from about:config and preferences and disabled all extensions except for Hoxx VPN because i can't access the site without it , tried other VPN's with the same problem , am on linux but the problem occur also on windows 10 , the site works fine on other browsers with the same VPN .

I have read and applied all the fixes from previous responses to this problem and nothing works. Scrolling through Facebook is a nightmare with the page re-loading every 10 seconds, and creating a visual disturbance on screen. Please advise a permanent fix. Thanks

Wenn ich auf Option gehe um die in dem Menu und Taskbar angezeigte Sprache in Deutsch zu ändern, geschieht nichts. Sobald ich Firefox neu starte wird alles wieder auf English angezeigt.

I wish to permanently disable private browsing/incognito browsing in firefox quantum version. A simple, easy, dumbed down explanation, please. I have been trying to do this for some time.

Where can I download Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR 52) for Windows in order to continue using the Session Manager extension? It's extremely important and vital that I am able to restore my historical sessions and also save multiple sessions going forward.

When I try to download it, I can see it will be 60 version instead.

Unfortunately I mistakenly updated my ESR 52 version today without realizing I'd lose that extension. This is very frustrating, so to alleviate the issue, I'd just like to have the older version and stick with it. Thank you.

Been using Firefox since the beginning
ALWAYS am using most updated version
Have run FF as my principal browser on 4 different laptops and 5 different work desktops through the years
I still prefer FF over others for personalization and appearance reasons

But THE MOST ANNOYING THING in Firefox since about 2009-10 (can't remember exact year, and many different computers since) is the fact that Firefox slows down when nearing cache limit.
Now I do a LOT of browsing, I am fairly addicted to Facebook, news sites, and low-res-streaming. I frequently use 30-80 GB of bandwidth a month.
The default cache size for Firefox is 350 MB. (I've increased/lowered the limit to zero satisfaction)
My present laptop is a Macbook Air. Everytime FF slows down, I open the preferences panel, click the 3rd option, and hit CLEAR CACHE. On by bigger internet days, I end up having to do this 5-6 times a day.
It does not matter if it's a new install or not.
Generally, through the years, my only add-ons are dictionaries and adblock, and a forced "open new tab at right" choice. But as stated previously, this cache clearing necessity is even on clean installs, my add-ons do not reduce the burden of cache clearing.
In IE/Edge, Chrome, Safari, I NEVER have to clear the cache, EVER!!!

So the questions are:
1-Why has the Firefox team never resolved this annoyance, which has been brought up time and time and again through the decades?
2-Why has the Firefox team now added FOUR NEW STEPS to clearing the cache ??? as if it were not already annoying enough, now it literally takes twice as long to clear the damned cache! and now the extra step also includes a cookies clearing which I most certainly DO NOT want to clear 3-5 times a day!!!! So now each time I have to un-check the cookies box to clear my frickin cache, it's beyond annoying!

Because it is a "preference" (what an idiotic position for Clear Cache) that is used several times a day by big browsers, instead of burying it deep in:
1-Firefox
2-Preferences
3-Privacy and security
4-Scroll down a random amount to Cookies and Site Data
5-Clear Data
6-Unclick cookies (mine are set to custom and only accept sites visited so I don't have many undesired cookies and hate relogging into sites constantly) to keep only clearing cache
7-Clear
8-Close panel

In the early days of Firefox Cache clear, it was only 4 steps, some browsers have it at 2 steps, but no, here we are stuck with 8 steps, and a default ridiculous pre-clicked clear cookies!!

Seriously Firefox, Fix these problems.
1-improve SELF CLEARING of cache, as other browsers do
2-reduce and clean up the number of steps required to clear the cache

I have to access a legacy, Agency-wide software application that uses Java in its interface operations. The previous Firefox esr version allowed the activation of Java for trusted sites. Firefox 60.2 esr appears to have done away with this option . . . and best of all it installed itself without my intervention or choice. Now, I am locked out of our timekeeping software.

Last week Adobe Flash stopped actuating/working with Firefox and there is no black box in the address bar or any place else that I see that asks me to activate it. I have it set as Always Activate on the Plug-Ins page but that isn't helping. I checked and have the most recent version. I had to go through several steps to activate it but it does work in Chrome. I run Win 7 and Firefox is my default browser. Please advise how I can get Flash to work again as it is hampering a lot of my activity on the web. Thank you.

When Firefox updates, it changes my search engine. I use Firefox for security purposes (although not as much anymore). Why would anyone in their right mind want to use Bing as their search engine? I don't want it EVER. Please let me know how to stop this from happening.

I would like to set my Zoom to stay at 150% all the time instead of it reverting back to 100% with every page change. I have looked in all settings and find no solution.

So, I downloaded the English Firefox version, installed it on my System (win7), which has the standard language English (and German as a secondary) and Firefox insists on giving me the interface in German?? Why? I tried the about:config tips I read somewhere here, but I guess they were out of date since there was zero effect (I created intl.locale.requested and general.useragent.locale as string-variables and set them to en-UK) so, can someone please tell me the current, correct name of the variable to use, or whatever is currently the go-to solution? One of the articles claimed when no value is set Firefox uses the system language as default, but that is obviously not working.. I am currently in Germany, but seriously, that is no excuse since the browser should really not care about where I currently am when I install it??

When I try copy and paste on any webpage, nothing happens. I even tried cut and paste but only cut works. I'm currently using this version: 60.2.0esr (64-bit) Kali Linux distribution file Kali - 1.0

PS: Even tried to copy and paste while editing this message but it didn't work (I trie copy and paste using Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V, right click, middle-click/select/middle-click but nothing worked)

I have been using firefox since beginning of 2003, yes I pretty sure you know what that means. Now I understand that SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER is a add security feature (okay some people need that) But 90% of the ppl using FF, does not need that. Since I can not turn off that feature, you are violating my net neutrality. You are telling me what websites I can go to, and can not go to. FF went from a slim active Fox, to a out of shape bloated pig. I never thought I would see the day when a Microsoft browser was better FF. Edge is crushing you all stat wise, you are not even on the same playing field.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the speed of Firefox 57, but I think the new menu ruins the experience. I tried waiting for an option to restore the old menu to come out, but nothing came. (I'm currently running 60.0.2.) I've also tried looking for a solution online, but there's no fix I could find. Do I have to downgrade back to 56?
