Generally, my Waterfox browser is great. Except when browsing Facebook pages. I'm at that site a lot, and if I'm uploading pictures, and roaming from page to page, after awhile the browser will slow down, or not respond at all > Task manager > Close browser > Restart > Repeat (a half hour or so later). I have absolutely no problems with any other sites I visit with this browser, just Facebook (and no problems with Facebook using Chrome or Edge). Thoughts and/or suggestions gratefully accepted. Thank you.

I was transferring my data from an older version of Firefox to the new version and always have enabled Firefox sync.

While setting up the new browser, I uninstalled an extension that had my settings from the new browser and it was automatically uninstalled from the older browser too.

Since I use Firefox sync, I want to know if it's possible to restore a restore the extension data from a specific time (before I deleted it). Trying to sync only restores it after the extension was deleted.

Bookmarks and library does not work for Firefox or Waterfox. For some reason The bookmarks don't function, nor can I recover old bookmark files. I open the Bookmark Library and it is empty, I try to recover an old Bookmark file and it responds with recovery not completed. So what happened? how do I fix the problem?

It seems that FF can only remember 2 rows or fields of login forms. When I fill a login form that has 3 or more fields FF only remembers and stores 2 fields. Looking at the stored user/password data (about-security-login) there are only 2 fields stored: username and passwords. what happens where a website wants 3 fields to be filled in? Is this cannot be stored by FF?

None of the options in "clearing history" reset 'visited' links to 'not visited'. Therefore, even days later, any links I've visited are still marked as 'visited'.

My old PC died, luckily, I had a new (secondhand) one ready to go.

I am using a pre-quantum version of Firefox.

Where can I get legacy versions of extensions that I need?

Yes, they've all been updated and maintained, but, there are several whose functions are severaly depreciated - including one where I would now have to actually PAY MONEY to do what I used to be able to do with ease on the legacy version.

Urgently seeking legacy versions that all worked fine before my old PC hit the dust last week.

Firefox latest version is not able to play youtube videos at 1080p 60fps, while the old version Firefox 56.0 plays them correctly, without blocking images or flickering. The system is Windows 7 x64 updated with 8-core Intel processor and AMD HD RADEON 2gb DDR5 dual GPU video card

I have an older version (56.0) that I'm very happy with, but some of my saved sites are making me use a newer version (I have Chrome) to access them. I truly hate the "new & improved" FF but am feeling forced to move in that direction. Can I keep my 56.0 separate from a new, clean install and maintain the older version as my default, yet have a separate icon for the new version?

I would like to keep the rounded tabs, the size and amount of my Top Sites 3 rows instead of 2 and in my book marks the folders were yellow instead of everything being black and white. Not sure if it is possible to get all of this back but I know I need to update as I am sure I am the only one in the universe still on 56.0.2

First I might not be using the right terminology/words/terms. So forgive my layman mistakes.

I am trying to clean up places.sqlite using a 3rd party software/plugin as it is much faster. I am having issues creating the SQLite script.

I would like to do two things:

1) Remove all items from the table moz_places that contain certain words in the URL and also remove it's corresponding/linked rows in moz_historyvisits

2) (MORE IMPORTANT) Remove all moz_histroyvisits that do not have corresponding rows in moz_places

Den Adblocker habe ich auch ausgeschaltet für ran.de.

Könnten Sie mir sagen, was ich machen muss, um den Livestream doch schauen zu können?

Auch mit dem internet explorer habe ich es versucht, aber es funktioniert nicht.

When I turn on my computer (Windows 10) and open the browser (Waterfox browser), it opens to the pages I used last, which is what I want. But, when I open a new tab (by clicking on the +), it opens with a view of my screensaver plus the time/weather info instead of opening with a group of thumbnails for my most visited sites/pages. How can I change that? Have looked this up & it refers to an "options tool" that is supposed to be in the right corner of the new tab page but there isn't anything like that. When I go to the Menu, I can find this option but there is nothing listed under Tabs to show I want a new tab to open with my most recent visits. New tabs always opened before with thumbnails of my most recently visited sites/pages. This just started two days ago.

since last week, my saved logins have disappared. I tried with a win10 system recovery (there were 2 timestamps available): both didn't work, linked to a problem with Firefox profile (but error message doesn't show up fully so hard to see what is wrong).

Via shadowexplorer, I was able to export the following files from previous system recovery backups: key3.db key4.db & logins.json .

If I copy these to a new (or existing profile), the logins.json file is renamed to logins.json.corrupt

I have seen that there was a similar problem with AVG-users, but I run Comodo internet security premium...

Any clues how to retrieve the logins??

I am currently on Firefox 56 and I am going to stay there until Firefox improves their included Password Manager to have the same functionality as the legacy addon 'Saved Password Editor'. I have tried the included Manager on another computer and, in my opinion, it is sadly wanting. I use the features in Saved Password Editor and need them going forward. And, no, I do not want third party solutions all requiring some kind of vault.

How about it Firefox? How about stepping up and getting this done even if you have to work a deal with the author

of the legacy addon.

I have Classic Theme Restorer disabled in a list of add-ons, although I use 56 version. I know add-on is removed from Firefox extensions by author Aris. Still need to use it. Tried some scripts to disable Firefox extension signing, found .xpi add-on distributive on third-party site (Safety? And who is pushing me there?). Not working, and my abilities end there. Without these features I have no use for Firefox browser, to me Quantum is essentially useless Chrome clone.
