Last time I used my computer I had toolbar at top of the screen just as it has been for years. Now, all of a sudden, I went on line and there is no toolbar. How can I restore it?

When I start up my computer and open Firefox none of my accounts are active, I have to log into each one of them even if I check "remember me." When I close Firefox and reopen it after having logged into all my accounts in the first session, all my accounts are active. When I turn off my computer, and turn it back on again and open Firefox, my accounts aren't active. The only account that stays logged in is Google.

I'm running The latest version of Windows 10 Home and also have Malewarebytes Anti-Exploit free edition.

For months now, when I go to YouTube on Firefox, I get the attached message.

If I go to YouTube using Safari, no problem. I can play the videos without a hitch.

How can I fix this? I LIKE Firefox and would prefer to continue using it.

I'm running Fx 44.0.2 on Mac 10.11.3. I believe the problem started before I upgraded though, but can't be sure. I can't print or print to pdf at all from Fx but printing in other apps works fine. I tried doing a refresh as recommended by troubleshooting page & it didn't solve the problem. Since that time I've only installed 2 extensions (1Password & Tab Tree). There was also a recommendation to reset a setting containing print_printer in about:config. It doesn't exist. That may be the problem, but it doesn't say what the whole name of the key is so I don't know how to create it. There's also a recommendation for removing all print items from the prefs_js file, but it seems to me that the refresh created a whole new profile which would make this moot. Am I wrong? Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Youtube currently loads as shown in the attached file. I tries safe mode, refreshing firefox, and clearing cache and cookies, nothing worked.

Firefox don't download files with the right name example:

'song.mp3' is downloaded as 'song'

If I rename the file adding the extension it opens. But that's annoying and I really do not want to have to do this with every file.

Tried recreating user profile, deleting 'mimeTypes.rdf' ...

I'm in Windows 10. Was using it well (I'm not computer literate) and after several months of doing so found that the minimize and expand toggles had disappeared. My Firefox version is 44. I've stepped through the following:

Trouble shoot and diagnose Firefox problems - have reinstalled, refreshed 
 Went to Support Forum and deleted the xulstore.json file (Have trouble figuring out how to close and restart firefox)

None of this works. I love Firefox and have been using it for over 5 years maybe longer. But I'm really frustrated as I don't have tech skills.

Any help even with the basics like exit firefox, close firefox and restart firefox would help. A simple close or exit firefox switch would simplify all this for people like me. All I want is my Firefox browser with its basic functions back. Paul

Many PDFs are only displaying images and some text using the built in viewer in Firefox 44.0.2 on A MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.5.

This appears to be something that has only happened in the latest updates of Firefox.

Firefox is having difficulty with a script and it appears to be having difficulty with a script in outlook.com or at least with one of the internet sites i have open, outlook.com, gmail, or outlook contacts "people". I get this script error and slow response often but not every time i'm logged in. However, it always happens with outlook.com open. Scrolling through the debug window has some references to outlook.com. It is always this same script and when it happens, stopping the script or clicking continue does nothing but hang up firefox. I have to use task mgr to kill firefox and then restart it. Can i do anything on my end to fix this very annoying issue? I have clicked on share data with outlook.com open but i'm not getting this script error at this time.

My computer is loading up or loading a link and the dialog box comes up saying;

Unresponsive plug in: Shockwave flash may be busy or stopped responding. You can stop the plug in now or you can continue trying. I click to stop it and my computer goes on and finishes the loading of either my on line start up, or whatever link I am uploading. I do not think I need Shockwave Flash. If I do not need it, please help me remove it. If I need it, then what? It does not indicate it is crashing.

I want to forward an article to an email address - on Safari there is an icon that allows me to email the web page I/m looking at I don't see that anywhere on Firefox -

I have followed all the ways to get to the place where you check to display the bookmark toolbar, and it is always already checked, but it does not display. When I look at the list of bookmarks, there is the entry for bookmarks toolbar populated with what I expect to be there, but I cannot get it to display across the top of the page (with the other toolbars). I can make the Menu and my Norton toolbars go away and then re-display, but not the bookmarks. Help would be much appreciated!

I initialize either jre-8u740.02 or jre-8u73-windows-i586 Java file from Java download, either online or offline, but installation is not working. After clicking on the files to initialize, there is never a Java Setup window that allows me to go through the installation process. But there looks to be some activity in Task Manager -two processes named Java Platform SE binary running, one shows 3.2mb and sometimes 3.8mb, the other shows 2.3mb and sometimes 2.0mb --but However, when I check Programs and Features, Programs or Control Panel there is no Java file seen, so it has not installed. Verify Java at java.com also indicates that Java is not installed. I have tried installing Java a dozen times. With all addons disabled, with addons and Avast disabled, after refreshing Firefox with no addons; I also tried installing Java 8 (both versions) using IE, but nothing is working. I went through all the suggestions on the Mozilla Help page regarding 'download and use Java plugin for Firefox' but none of them helped. I am using FF44.0.2, and guessing that it is the 32-bit version (though don't know how to verify that). When I tried to download Java8u74 for 64-bit browsers (while using FF browser), Java gave me an error message that I can't use that version of Java with my browser. My laptop is acer 6530 32-bit, running Win8.1 and FF44.0.2.

Looks like I stumbled into some online virus that keeps opening arbitrary web pages on the homepage, opens them while I'm browsing the internet, I've done some scans on my laptop and restarted and re-installed Mozilla Firefox but the problem still holds :(

Hello, For some reason today, my firefox has started automatically closing down without a crash or error message appearing. It does not register as a crash either as it did not appear when I check the crash logs. I have tried in Safe Mode, refreshed Firefox and even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Lastly, I tried to unchecked the option of 'Use hardware acceleration when available' but this problem is still persisting.

Anti-virus scan (Kaspersky 2016) hasn't picked up any problems either. The only thing I have done differently today is to delete my temp folders via Disk cleanup but I didn't think this would cause problems with Firefox like this?

I am running Windows 10 and using Firefox 44.0.2.

Any ideas on what the problem may be?

Currently, I am using Windows 10. How can I keep a web page without losing it, when I need to go to open my email to get a code and return to the original web page? I cannot minimize the page. If I minimize, I am returned to the desktop. I cannot go to another site and return. Please Help! Thank you!

There's one site I log into regularly that's suddenly become inaccessible. After I log in, the tab simply disappears. When I do the same in IE, I get a message saying, "The webpage you are visiting is trying to close the tab. Do you want to close this tab?" I click on No and I'm in. But no such message appears in FF.

This began a few days ago, and I've made no changes to FF in months. However, FF may have updated itself (to 44.0.2) recently and that could possibly be the cause.

I used to have a 'Frequent / Most Visited Pages' page as my home page and new tab page, and I've got a new PC and reinstalled Firefox, but now I can't find it. Is there a URL / option for this page that I can find somewhere?

I refreshed Firefox and instead of selecting "Default User," I created an user with my name. When Firefox opened, ALL of my bookmarks, passwords, etc. were gone. There is a file on my desktop called Old Firefox Data - but how do I use it? Better yet, how do I get back to the "Default User" dialog box??? Oh, please help...
