But still the same happening. I saved lot of my login passwords that i even didn't remember. now i have to use forgot option for every website. Is there any way to solve this or atleast save from now.

The problem seems to be limited to Mozilla as the other browsers, Word, etc. don't exhibit this behavior.
I have no idea what combination of keystrokes caused this! I have rebooted.

This happened from a cat walking on my keyboard so it's not quite as simple as pressing each button that I pressed to find out how to undo this. My primary internet browsing experience is on a laptop with a nasty little touchpad and I've been getting by on the arrows and page up/down till now. With the blinking "you are here" marker on the internet page I get to see either the top or bottom of the page unless I get to fiddling around with the touchpad and the scrolling bit on the side of the browser.
Is there an option to make Firefox show the rate of downloads in b/s like it used to? It used to save me a lot of rough mental division and multiplication.

I do NOT want those, and can't find how to get rid of them. There is no line separating them from the <desired> bookmarks. If they are plugins, I want to UNplug them.

After logging out of my account on Amazon today I went to log in again and couldn't. I tried resetting my password multiple times, only to get stuck in a loop of endless captchas. I called customer service twice and tried restarting my computer. I was told by customer service to contact FF since I could log in with no difficulty in Chrome.
Any ideas how to fix?

I checked the default program for file types and it shows that there are two file types that Edge still opens. I tried to change them to Firefox, when I choose Firefox it goes by to Edge.
How can I fix this?

since Firefox Version 38.0 (ESR) it is not possible to download Firefox Add-ons manually ( ...from the site addons.mozilla.org (!) ) with 'Save Link as...' (...from the Right-Click Context-Menu).
All of the Add-Ons for Firefox (signed or un-signed) have a size of '0 kb' after trying to 'Save Link as...' to a local directory. If I'm choosing there (...in the 'Mozilla Add-On Store') a Thunderbird Add-On everything works fine with the 'Save as...'-alternative.
I have tested this with all of the ESR versions 38.0 to 38.6.1 and also with the new 'public' version 44.0.2 (= no ESR), ...also with new and clean Profiles. Everywhere the same effect. 31.8 ESR is the last one where I can download and save Add-Ons with 'Save Link as...' to a local directory.
(I know that it is possible to choose the Button '+Add to Firefox' with Left-Click. In this case the Add-On Download starts without any problems promptly ...and the installation process starts directly.)
Is there a Pref available which I can set in the about:config page or another option to download Add-On files manually?

Running Firefox 38 on Linux Mint 17.2.
I was rearranging my bookmarks and wanted to move one of the folders to the top, placing it above the default 'Mozzila' bookmark. The folder I moved disappeared and I could no longer locate it.
Advice on the forums recommended running an import in the 'Show All Bookmarks' window. I had not previously run a manual backup myself. Thinking the last file may contain the deleted folder, I imported the backup shown for today.
Consequently all my bookmarks disappeared.
Is this normal, and how can I go about restoring my old bookmarks? Are the deleted ones placed in a temporary folder somewhere?

After that, it will ask if you want to quit firefox or open it in safe mode. I just open it in safe mode. Close it, re-open it. Now it is normal. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix this? Thanks.
