For some reason after one of your updates, the cursor on the browser always goes to the address bar. It deletes the address and wants me to type in a search term. I have gone through the necessary changes that your support page suggested to turn that feature off, but it still does it.

It is seriously irritating and inconvenient. How do I stop it from doing that. I am very close to not using Foxfire anymore as my default Browser. Please let me know how to fix this problem.

I would like to get the new versions of firefox to look like old version 27 thru 29 look. I'm currently running ver 27 and like the older looks of firefox. Can it be done?

Many websites display a message that I'm using an older unsupported Firefox version, and require an upgrade. But I'm running Firefox 43 (just installed recently). Need to find out what is causing this. Google Drive does not operate and redirects me to a browser upgrade screen. I have multiple versions of Firefox on my PC. I'm running Windows XP Home, Service Pack 3, 32-bit firefox. What do these websites look at in the request? Perhaps it is something in the request headers..

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Crashes for no reason that I can determine. I have reinstalled both the os win 7 ultimate and firefox three times, ran memory check replaced Ram twice. I still get random crashes. Have installed all relevant windows updates. I have even started my computer and firefox , left it run all night and in the morning I find that it has crashed. Heres the list.

I unknowing clicked that I want Foxfire to monitor all sites for security. I did not realize Foxfire would block me from accessing my e-mails! I need to read my emails for school and work. PLEASE fix this for me.

The page "Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data) seems to give different information (without identifying that that's what it's doing) depending on the Firefox version being used.

With v27, it says that signons.sqlite is one (1) of two (2) files where passwords are kept, but, with v39, it says that logins.json is such a file. (Both say that key3.db is the other file.)

First, why do the descriptions differ...and without explanation?

Second, if I'm going from a v39 machine to a v27 machine, and want my passwords to transfer over, I THOUGHT that backing up, and restoring, my profile would do the job, but, because of what I wrote above, it didn't.

Can you please advise me/us about this? Why are the files different? Why does the same page say different things without noting that that's what it's doing? How can I bring v39 passwords to a v27 machine?

For several years, I use an older version (27), and plan to do so on. Starting with version 28, the browser was like on IE and therefore - is inconvenient. The key upgrade for some reason declined and moved away to the side, which is extremely inconvenient to travel across the screen and how to aim at the target! Along with the design of the site have mozilla became infamous square design in the style of Windows 8. This is a very worrying despite all the denials merger with Microsoft.

Hi my last hard drive died on me a few days ago and i just got a new one today and i want to regain all my Firefox data, well pretty much only the bookmarks I have had and saved over the past 5 years, That's all i really care about, but when i try signing into my Firefox its not recognizing my password so i try to reset it but its not giving me the reset email i need to properly sign in. I know i only used 2 emails and i know ive had a sync set up in the past but none of the two emails worked on resending a password reset, i just want my old bookmarks back

 I do not want to talk to the community of users I want the top dog from Mozilla Firefox to tell me.

1: Why can't you make the new sync an installable update to work with the older versions of Firefox... current version I run is 24.0 ESR... because all my favorite skins and add-ons work.

2: Why do we have to upgrade to the new Firefox, when the older versions have the add-ons and skins most of us love. New Ugly versions of Firefox will not run the the nice older skins, just the worthless themes that are just a color and background image Maybe you can make a wrapper to use older skins on newer versions of this UGLY Browser.

 3: Why should we upgrade just because of a newer sync  when the old one works just fine. and if we do update what is the oldest / lowest version number we can install to meet the new sync requirements  ?? 
 3a:  If we upgrade WHY ! ?? can't we install 2 versions of Firefox, 1 for the sync and 1 older version to use everyday that looks good with our favorite skins and add-ons.   I would waste space on my drive to have 2 versions if the only way sync would work is in the new version...just import bookmarks to new version and never use it only to update my phone bookmarks. 

 4: It seems to me you are letting Google Chrome ( another really UGLY Browser ) over run your own ideas of what a browser should / can be and look like...WHY ??  I can see this from the way the old versions look and run compared to the new junk you have put out since version 27.0.1.

 5: Don't tell me security is the reason for being ugly and the good older skins / add-ons not working, that is why everyone runs Firewalls, Anti-Virus,  Anti-Malware and Windows Defender  software.. to be secure.

I would like to know if Mozilla is going to charge Me EXTRA on My Iprimus account if I say YES to It's (Mozillas Question).

I am Checking emails at present and I really need to Get offline and Cook Dinner!! so a quick RESPONSE is Very Much Appreciated.

In the last week or so my Firefox new version just came to a crawl and it runs like I was on dial-up. My mail runs extremelyslow and the browser takes forever to load my home page (yahoo). I finally found version 27 and downgraded to it from your latest version. I ran all my security software and the system came up clean. I tried to reload your latest version a few times and the results were always the same extremely slow to load and the cursor while typing I was 4 or 5 words behind what I was typing. I want to make the icons and extra text in the address bar go away since they do nothing for me and only take up space that I need to use to see the whole URL. Right now there's a green padlock icon on the left side with 1/4 of the space taken up by "Mozilla Foundation (US)" instead of the URL, other times it's a little globe or a little lego/car battery looking thing, or several icons in a row. There's a permanent star shaped thingy on the left and a down arrow that want to get rid of as well. I don't care at all what they mean, I just want them gone. I need to see as much of the URL in the URL bar as possible, not a bunch of icons and extra non-URL text. The address bar should be for addresses, and that's how I want my browser to function. I don't care one single bit what those icons or extra text are for, so please don't try to advocate for their staying. I've made up my mind 100% that I want them gone. Can I make them go away, yes or no?

whenever (from last 2 years) i try to download an binay file .exe file...the download never compeletes....it stops at 99 %...in this way i cannot update my adobe flash player or mozilla firefox....i have no antivirus... firewall turned offf.....i tried everything....i reinstalled windows about 5 times in last two years but the problem is same.....if you cannot help me then upload the latest flash player(full 16 or 17 mb i think) as a rar file on any site and send link but help me in solving my problem... two pictures uploaded...the difference between both is the time difference of 2 minutes

I have disabled all my add-on, searched for sound in about:config and there is still this annoying sound set up by something internal, external, hidden or forgotten like a setting perhaps? I can't turn it off.

I also checked my Win 7 system sounds and that is not the problem as it only happens with Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled it with no effect. Please help. (It was also happening with MS Word but stopped after changing system sounds to something and then to none for opening programmes but the sound still occurs in Firefox)
