firefox is my browser. i have windows 11. all of my web (not app) shortcut icons on desktop are the white blank page icon. i used to see the icons for the sources -- the newspapers, etc. none of the standard windows fixes for this have worked. was there a firefox policy change that causes this? i Free Up Space to Onedrive for everything on desktop, but even when I apply Keep on This Device, the source icons still don't appear, so I don't think Onedrive is the issue. in some unsynced folders on the PC, web links appear with a generic blue planet icon, which is as generic as the white page icons on the desktop. I've tried the fixes for windows 11 but none of them have worked. any ideas of a firefox fix for this? thanks!

Firefox has been my browser of choice for well over 20 years. I have a game I play every day (from FaceBook) just this week when I try to go to it on my laptop - it says your browser does not support WebGL. it has always opened using Firefox - this is a new error message. and the computer is only 5 months old and has Windows 11 on it. I do not want to switch to Google or Edge.

Like I said - opening the app worked every day up until about a week ago. What gives?

I waited for a long time to do an upgrade to avoid problems. Today finally I decided to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox for my iMac, 147.0.1. Before the upgrade I successfully used with zero issues gemini.google.com/app . Now the website comes up, but regardless what I enter as a question I only get an error message stating "something went wrong". The same website works with no issues (TG) with Safari.

Does anyone else experience the same? Is this a known bug with this version of Firefox? Is there a work around for it? Is the solution just using Safari?

Firefox has been crashing regularly for a full day now. I have one profile with multiple extensions, and a fresh profile that is meant to test firefox without any. With this new, "clean-slate" profile with none of my extensions installed, I still get repeated crashes. It is getting in the way of my ability to work- it happens even in Troubleshoot mode, even though I could not confirm any hardware issues prior to this.

Will I need to delete the extenstion-filled profile entirely before going forward? Is there an update I need to install, or anything else I should do myself? Should I provide a list of my extensions?

Attached is the Report ID of my latest crash- hopefully it will help.

Hello, I do not know if others have this problem, but when I try to access an Microsoft email account, using Firefox, it loads and then immediately logs me out. When I use a Firefox Private Window, this not occur. What might be causing this?

So I have two Google accounts, let's call them Antelope and Bear. Antelope is my "main" account, but I use Bear for a lot of things too, which includes Gemini. So, if I want to use the Gemini chatbot option on Firefox's sidebar, it would make the most sense to use it under my Bear account, since that way I can access my previous chats and all that. However, when I open the Gemini chatbot, it automatically logs me in as Antelope. And when I click on the account's profile picture to swap to Bear, it instead opens the Gemini site on a new tab, in which I am indeed logged in as Bear, but the sidebar remains stuck on the Antelope account. I've tried the "reload Gemini" option, restarting Firefox, and clearing the cache, but nothing works. I think I could fix it by logging out of both accounts, then logging in only as Bear, letting the sidebar "grab" that account, and then logging in as Antelope, but I wanted to know if there's an easier/cleaner way to go about it. Thank you in advance.

We hate this useless so-called feature and you've completely failed to give us an OFF switch! It's been many months with countless complaints and still no OFF switch! We've had this conversation before, all of your ideas must come with an OFF switch, especially so for the dumb ones like tab pinning! You don't ever force this dumb crap on us, ever!

My firefox is not recalling the history as I move through tabs. It doesn't appear in the sidebar or in the documented history. This only has happened recently, and it's still recognizing my bookmarks. I've done some troubleshooting, tried relaunching in the mode while switching through tabs, but it's still not recalling. Any help is appreciated.

I need to have a telecon from the provider meet.goto.com using Firefox on my PC running Linux Mint mint-001-1.0 147.0.1 (64 bit) but I get an error message browser not supported. What can I do? Thanks

Since last week I am unable to properly use some websites that are failing due to CORS requests, but they were working before. Some examples are es.webuy.com or a local Jellyfin instance. After trying to enable/disable some settings that I thought could be related to the problem, like security levels, I ended up creating a new profile. In this new profile everything works, but as soon as I synchronize my Mozilla account, then these websites start failing again with CORS requests errors.

Any idea about what setting might it be the one causing problems? Or any idea about how can I debug/troubleshoot it myself?

I have been using 1Password 7 to manage my login credentials. It includes a Firefox extension to fill in account names and passwords in login alerts and pages.

Firefox 147.0.1 (macOS aarch64) in January 2026 has broken 1Password 7's ability to fill in account names and passwords.

To reproduce: 1. Install 1Password 7 Version 7.9.11 (70911000) and its extension version 4.7.5.90 in Firefox 147.0.1 on macOS. 2. Visit a URL for which 1Password 7 has login credentials. 3. Click on the toolbar icon for 1Password 7. A 1Password 7 dialogue box pops down from the icon, containing the username and password for that URL. 4. Click the Autofill button in that dialogue box.

Observed behaviour: 1. Username and Password fields remain blank.

Expected behaviour: 1. Username and Password from 1Password 7 appear in the Username and Password fields.

For approximately the last three months, there was a partial failure similar to this. 1. 1Password 7 popdown dialogue moves from the toolbar icon to the Firefox tab for that URL. 2. Username and Password fields remain blank. 3. Workaround: click in the username field, then tab 2-4 times to further UI objects in the login credentials form. Then click the 1Password toolbar icon, then click the Autofill button in the popdown dialogue. Then, the Username and Password from 1Password 7 appear in the Username and Password fields.

The expected behaviour occurs for the same URLs in Safari.

Thus I suspect that Firefox has somehow changed its behaviour in the last few months to cause this regression. I have not changed the 1Password software versions in this time, because I am intentionally using a previous version of 1Password.

I am looking for a fix or workaround which works with my current 1Password software version. I am not interested in a solution which requires me to upgrade to the current version of 1Password. (The current version of 1Password imposes a feature which I am resisting.) I realise that this reduces the chance that I can persuade the Firefox team to find and correct this regression.

My local newspaper has gone only digital, which I actually like. But, there is an option on the bottom of the reader that is available when using Edge and is not available when I use Firefox. A mouseOver on Edge displays "Print or clip". Yes, it's a snipping tool and/or print option. But it really right-sizes the snipped area perfectly for printing crossword puzzles. The Windows snipping tool (Windows 11) makes it too small so I need to go to Edge for only this one task. My first preference would be to get the function on the Firefox screen, and my second choice would be to figure out how to use the Windows snipping tool to print without leaving Firefox. I want to achieve windowed functionality of Firefox's F11 fullscreen mode, where there's no window borders nor tab/url bar, which pops in on hover. Having every pixel actually be web space is just preferable to me. This used to be possible in old Firefox versions simply by resizing a fullscreened FF window using a resizer extension or window manager (such as seen here, with version 55.0.3: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1klHdUHiKtLVITmrQnul8O1zF32l-Uz6c/view). At some point, something must have changed in FF's fullscreen API because it no longer responds to any of this.

I'm willing to pay anyone savvy enough to come up with a solution. Ideally by figuring out how to again be able to simply resize F11 windows. Note: "full-screen-api.ignore-widgets" isn't cutting it, there will still be a window border and the tab/url bar won't automatically pop up.

My address bar disappeared. I can get it back by hitting F10 but it doesn't stay. How can I get it back and keep it? When I go to the Customize Toolbar setting, the address bar is not there.
