I would like to force spellcheck for all websites, and override any HTML code from the websites. which may be disabling it. This should be done automatically and not by inspecting and manually altering the HTML. I consulted with ChatGPT and tried adding some code to my existing userChrome.css but it is having no effect, even after clearing cache and restarting Firefox. For instance, faxzero.com has a form with spellcheck disabled. I tinkered with the CSS and kept testing faxzero, but the spellcheck always remains disabled. How can I accomplish my goal?

Hi, it has been a while that one of the updates on firefox removed the ability to navigate using the middle click, i waited and waited for some day an update drop and fix that but it's been a while and nothing has come, i was sure to test this on another computer and it didn't worked as well so i'm pretty sure firefox has some problems, i mainly use a drawing tablet because i don't have a mouse, so navigating is a bit hard without the usual middle click nagivation(i'm not sure if there is an actual name to that), please help

since the last update, the shortcut keys to highlight a word at a time left OR right are both highlighting the next word AND also jumping to the last tab. AGAIN! I noticed this was identified as a problem back around 2019 in a search. I now cannot move fluidly within text, nor highlight a word at a time quickly. Either it's whole line or simply a letter at a time... which results in a pretty incompetent, crippling experience. PLEASE FIX!!

Recently I used the forgot about this site for reddit, but when I try to click on a link from either my bookmarks or from a web search I keep on getting. When I open Firefox and call up bing maps , it starts to load the page , then Firefox crashes . Has been doing this for several firefox versions . Looking at the crash report , I always get "The debug symbols are missing for firefox. Please install firefox-dbg." but I can't find firefox-dbg to load

As the title says, it is very slow with Ublock Origin. I have refreshed Firefox and without Ublock it obviously works but I would like to keep the extension because it is the only one that works with Youtube Ads right now.

ALT-SHIFT-LEFT has been 'select word backwards' for years, at least on macs. And so it was on FF too. Now they suddenly decided to re-map it to 'select left tab'. There was already a key for that - CMD-ALT-LEFT. Which also works for the right, whereas ALT-SHIFT-RIGHT does nothin

When I open Firefox these days, the window is so big that the toolbar is barely visible. I have to put the cursor in just the right little spot to pull the window down and resize it. It is NOT full screen or maximized, it just opens a huge window that's too far up on the screen. I just want to resize the default window that it opens with.

Why is Firefox backing up my bookmarks in a json file, when Firefox itself doesn't recognise the file type when trying to restore said bookmarks? I WAS able to restore my bookmarks by converting the json file at https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/bookbackreader.html. But why can't Firefox just back up as an html file like to used to? I had to go off searching the internet for a solution, turning what should've been a 5 minute job into nearly an hour 😕

I have previously exported my bookmarks in an HTML file. When reinstalling Firefox, I tried to import them using the HTML backup file. It says that 309 bookmarks have been found, but nothing changes on the bookmarks bar, still showing the "Import bookmarks" bookmark. These are very important bookmarks I would really like to get back, can you help me please ?

Hey y'all, I just closed Firefox and tried to open in up again a few minutes later. The icon in my taskbar threw an error saying it couldn't find the executable. I typed Firefox into the run dialog and FF came up but has no icons on the home screen, zeroed out my bookmarks bar below the URL field and deleted all my bookmarks (100s).

I went into the User/../../Mozilla folder system and found a folder called bookmarksBackup or something similar. It was completely empty.

Any chance these were saved somewhere else as well?

I tried redownloading Firefox after I saw that i was unable to download any extenstions/add-ons. Anytime i try to download something from the firefox browser, the download fails or gets cancelled. I never changed any settings, how can i fix this?bold text

I am not referring to anything regarding YouTube. This issue is with my Firefox web browser. When I long onto frequently used web pages parts of the page are no longer visible. What causes this and how do I fix this?

EVERY [removed] DAY firefox looses my tabs, historys, extensions/addons, prefferences and settings.... EVERY [removed] DAY!!! why am i wasting hours each day trying to recover basic [removed] ur piece of shit web browser clearly cant retain. even [removed] BING would be better at this point. ive tried everything at this point even down to tab managers but again without the webrowser holding extension info this too is [removed] useless. whats more annoying is it has clearly been an issue for over 8 years with a 10sec google search.... SORT YOUR [removed] OUT!!!!!!! yes im on windows, yes im up to date, yes ive tried resetting ur web browser, yes i have a [removed] folder with "old firefox data" on my descktop i cant use, yes ur web browser is a piece of [removed], yes i will be uninstalling this [removed] shortly. sadly i still remember the day firefox was king...... o how the mighty have fallen..

Ive tried reinstalling firefox because i am not able to download anything with this browser. I thought freshly installing firefox would fix the issue and allow me to download but it didnt. I also am tried to download an addon/extension, and that automatically fails to download. How can i fix this?
