When I went to open the vpn file, I got a message saying that it may contain malicious code that may harm my pc? Therefore Ive purchased the monthly payment but as of yet been unwilling to open the file. Also I got vpn in order to watch peacock T.V. as well as NBC and MSNBC Ive no idea how to access these programs in the U.S. as Im in Canada?

What is going on with the Bookmarks function continuously duplicating? I've used the add-in tool (Love It!), but my bookmarks keep duplicating! What is going on & are you going to fix it? I use Mozilla Firefox exclusively as I don't like or trust Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. Would REALY like to get this problem corrected!

I'm running the latest FF under Win7. Seems that whenever I go to the Merriam-Webster (dot) com site, after a few seconds, my disk activity light goes solid, and the FF CPU usage spike to 10-25%. One time, to regain control of my system (because everything seemed hung) I actually had to resort to the physical power-down switch. Obviously I immediately ran a virus scan upon coming back up (scan showed all okay). Now, if I stay away from Merriam-Webster, FF behaves normally. But it's a damned dictionary site. I occasionally will need to use it or stumble into it. I've used MW in the past without problems. Does anyone know what's going on?

For 8 months i am still getting tab crashed messages whenever i try to pause then replay videos. I have sent crash reports and shown them on the help page and get no real answers.

Hi. Is there a way to customize the order of Firefox headers and footers on printed pages (including print-to-pdf)?

I prefer the header to be url only, in the center. While the footer has page on left; title in the center, and date on the right.

This used to be easy to accomplish with print options in older versions, then -- as the print dialog changed (and actually improved a lot in most *other* ways) I had to turn to about:config modifications like those described in the 1/27/21 reply here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1323433. But now I can't seem to find any way to have any control over print headers besides "on" and "off."

One problem I find with having both page title and url on top is that these can be long, causing one or both to be truncated.

I'm using Firefox 115.3esr.

I don't know what happened because the browser was working fine earlier this morning and I didn't do anything to compromise it. I didn't go to settings and change anything. I suspect someone may have 'hacked in,' if that is still even a 'thing.' I think this because when I try to shut off my internet temporarily someone turns it back on and I usually have to 'fight' with whoever that is to get my internet to go off. I tried to ask google a question I wanted the answer to. That question was, how long does the flu last (because I have it or covid.) I also asked how long does covid last. What happened was that spinning thing where it was continually searching but never going to the site. Can you help, please? Thanks in advance if you can.

What has happened to all of my Task Bar / Tool Bar? As of today, Sunday Nov. 26th, everything is gone. In addition the browser itself looks "different" some how.

Hello. I cannot remove the suggestions that appear in the drop down address bar suggestions list. Shift-delete does not work. Changing the search settings in tools does not work. There is no three dots that appear next to the URL, or a pop up that shows up if I hover over the link. They are stubbornly embedded on that bar and refuse to leave.

The only thing that works is to delete all history, but I don't want to do that. There may be some solution where I micromanage site permissions on a site by site basis but that's way too much work, and should not have to do that.

The URLs on the list themselves are totally random. I cannot figure out how Firefox decided that THESE are the URLs to feature. I visited like once, in a long string of activity.

Anyway, my inability to perform a simple task like right-click-delete or demand that it "stop doing that" is making me claustrophobic.

I tried to activate my firefox account on my new laptop. I also tried to add this new computer to firefox sync. The system shows me, that I am logged in with both my old and new computer After entering the password I am told that firefox account will sent me an e-mail to verify the account. I am told that I will receive a code at my e-mail address. The stored e-mail address is correct. I am told that the e-mail has been sent to my e-mail address. I have tried to receive an e-mail from my old computer as well. Whatever I do even after I added accounts@firefox.com into my contacts. I still don´t receive any e-mails with verification codes or links to verify my e-mail address. I really don´t know what else to try. I did not find any support adresses for firefox in europe. Please can anybody help.

Facebook requires me to have to update Firefox even though I have the latest version! Could it be because my computer only has Windows 7? Can't find no free upgrade to 10 anymore ... buy without money will not go! I really need help!

Hello! When I set up my website restrictions on Mac Ventura (System Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy > Content Restrictions > Access to Web Content > Customize), Safari blocks my sites but Firefox does not.

From what I see (eg, this article ), Firefox should block the same sites. Am I wrong?

There are thousands of answers to this question but I can't find one that works for me. I am using a tablet computer without a mouse or keyboard so mouse click solutions and keyboard short cut solutions don't work.

I want to just tap on a link with my finger and have it open in a new window. Every time. I know I can hold on the link and get a list of options including "open in a new window" but I want to eliminate that step because my fat fingers sometimes select the wrong list item.

Any help?

I have a Microsoft Sculpt mouse that has a tilt wheel, and I'm coming back to Firefox in Windows. But then I encounteted problems with horizontal scrolling with this mouse. Looks like Firefox recognized horizontal scrolling button of tilt wheel as left and right so it end up making the experience terrible when I want to scroll page with the tilt wheel. For example, when scrolling horizontally using tilt wheel among tabs in video sites like Youtube, the video will go backward or forward too. Similar thing also happens when texting, making horizontal scrolling in some forums became slow. I've tried a lot of ways, including disabling the 4th and 5th button of mouse in about:config, but none of those solutions works. This problem never appears in Chromium based browsers, but Firefox and almost all gecko based browsers have such problem. How to solve it?

while beeing on facebook most of the post i see are in french ,and i set the the language in spanish ...also on ebay,the info showed in the articles have a similar error....it shows them in french and the prices on euros,and i use dollars it happened since the last browser update....i tried both pages in Opera or Edge and they show those in spanish...no problem with them

Why does my tool bar disappear after typing in website in search bar? Book marks appear when I open a new window, however as soon as I type something in the search bar or click on a website the book marks disappear. I have to open a new window for them to reappear again. I didn't change any settings, it happened on it's own. I've added a screen shot for when I open a new window (book marks appear) and a screen shot for when I've typed something in the search bar (book marks disappear). Thank you!
