When i go to "about:memory" and do a measurement to see whats eating memory i find extensions that are nowhere to be found in the extension manager nor in the folders where the extension files are. they are: - Extension(id=wikipedia@search.mozilla.org, name="Wikipedia (en)", baseURL=moz-extension://8551 - Extension(id=webcompat@mozilla.org, name="Web Compatibility Interventions", baseURL=moz-extensi - Extension(id=screenshots@mozilla.org, name="Firefox Screenshots", baseURL=moz-extension://486 - Extension(id=pictureinpicture@mozilla.org, name="Picture-In-Picture", baseURL=moz-extension:// - Extension(id=google@search.mozilla.org, name="Google", baseURL=moz-extension://13f3307a-648b- - Extension(id=formautofill@mozilla.org, name="Form Autofill", baseURL=moz-extension://dfdf20df- - Extension(id=ddg@search.mozilla.org, name="DuckDuckGo", baseURL=moz-extension://c8eb7a13-e1ab - Extension(id=bing@search.mozilla.org, name="Bing", baseURL=moz-extension://424719d2-8ccf-4c8e- - Extension(id=addons-search-detection@mozilla.com, name="Add-ons Search Detection", baseURL=moz- (the names are cut thats how it shows and at the end there is a "..." i cant select) I tried looking everywhere and i cant find where are this extensions to delete them. i use the google website to do searches so dont need an extension, i dont use duckduckgo at all, i dont use bing at all, i dont use the screenshot feature, i dont use the picture in picture thing and also i use the wbesite if i want to go to wikipedia. I would like to know how to erase them entirely since i dont use them and they are eating memory.

Saved themes in Firefox color not visible in add-ons manager. Does not fix itself in safe mode. One of the saved themes is a default preset I liked, the other is a preset I made myself, using all options except advanced colors.

It is useless. I tried to restore 3953 items from a previous back up and received the message "Unable to process the backup file".

I am not interested in hearing how to prevent this problem in the future, because obviously creating backups do not work.

How do I check to see if the problem was caused by security software, even though I have not added anything?

Hello. My tablet, has limited memory, due to its age. I am now finding that one of the main reasons why it is so slow is because whenever I open firefox, it opens multiple firefox processes which drain the memory and in some cases crashes the system. I have followed all the advice given to reduce these multiple processes, however nothing seems to work and at least 6-8 firefox processes open each time I open it. I have unchecked the recommended performance settings as well as hardware acceleration boxes. However, I cannot find where to set the content process limit to 1. Please tell me how to do this and if there anything else I can try to stop it opening multiple processes or I may be forced to ditch Firefox altogether for an alternate such as Bing, Chrome or DuckDuckGo. Hopefully you can help. I know this may be a Microsoft issue or question but I'm having trouble in finding a reasonable way to contact them for help. My question is, my computer runs slow, and so I thought I would clean up my files by using the Microsoft disk clean up procedure. I did so. But, my specific question is what is a good number to have when the it says a given number of disk space can be cleaned up? For example, I believe when I first tried to clean the disk it said 5.1 GB of disk space could be cleaned. When I ran the disk clean process and it completed it then said 66 KB of disk space could be cleaned. So how much disk space did I gain or get cleaned up? And, if I can only clean up 66 KB of disk space is that indicative of not really needing to clean the disk any farther? Hopefully some one can help. While this may be a Microsoft issue, I believe the Firefox contributors have enough computer knowledge to help answer my question. At least that is my hope. Thank you.

Firstly, I have a brain injury. I am easily overwhelmed by information and am slow to understand - especially anything to do with I.T.

Recently, I began successfully accessing the internet / Firefox via my Wifi Repeater. As of two or three days ago. I keep being asked to "log in to access the Internet", but even after I do it (successfully, as far as my repeater is concerned) I'm no further forward; I keep being asked to log in.

Thanks to my repeater I have a strong signal when in my garden office. But after a month, Firefox has suddenly stopped allowing me to use it. I am back at Square 1, before I purchased the thing.

I need need to work from my office. Please help resume my Repeater's access.

I still have not had any improvement with tab crashes especially on sites containing videos. Lately, every time i go on Facebook and play a video reel, i stop the video and before i can return to my home page, the tab crashes. This browser has gotten worse rather than improving.

When I try to sign in to Chase banking, it tells me to upgrade my browser, which I have already done. Had to use Edge to login successfully. Using Windows 11 Pro with current Firefox browser.

Hi, I have an old PC with Win7 and Firefox 115.30.0esr (64-bit) (latest version from 11 november 25) and this website cultuursmakers.be has problems aka differences with Firefox 141.0.3 (of my Android tablet) and other browsers such as Chrome. The green heading block overlaps and hide the upper part of the content block. For example, if you select inloggen (log in), then you see that the user name (naam) is not visible and only the box for the password is shown. Work around: Right click on the header and select Inspect. In the Inspector (html column) select the header tag. In the Inspector (css column) uncheck in the '.header.--fixed' selector the line 'position: fixed;' Now the content block shifts down and all content is visible. Can you verify / fix that? Hi when saving bookmarks with the key Control+ Shift + D this saves all bookmarks but doesn't save pinned bookmarks, what keys save all bookmarks including the pins? Thanks

Using Firefox for webmail, There used to be an option to spellcheck a "Composed" message before sending it. Probably after a recent "upgrade", that option seems to have disappeared. True? Can I get the facility back in some way?
