This morning I opened my Firefox and used my bookmarks. Closed Firefox. Reopened Firefox and all my bookmarks are gone.

Luckily I make regular html backups and could restore them.

It is just that I would like to know what happened here.

I must say that: I use Firefox on an Android tablet where I never change the bookmarks, and on my laptop where I change them very often. Since a month I got the warning that Firefox was not syncing anymore. I was asked to reconnect to sync. This was on my laptop. Being afraid that reconnecting to sync would install the bookmarks from the Tablet on the laptop I disconnected from sync. But this was 2 days ago!!! Can this have caused the bookmarks suddenly disappearing?

I've used the Firefox Bookmark Dupes several times & 100+ bookmarks keep returning, both in the drop down 'bookmarks' menu & in folders, usually in folders that have had recent activity. Hours have been spent trying to fix this. Also tried using 'show all 'bookmarks' and deleting individual bookmarks that way to no avail!

i have recently bookmarked several sites. Multiple new folders are created and when I try to select all of them to delete them, I can only select one at a time. I have no ability to delete multiple folders or sites at once.

i have two computers both have the same bookmarks but both have also bookmarks that only one or the other has i need to copy/import/add whatever only the bookmarks that are not existing on one computer but the standard import imports just whole pale of bookmarks even if it does to a different folder i have tired to do that manually but when i have copied the imported bookmarks the firefox does not stop pasting TO new folder if files are duplicates like windows does - firefox simply pastes how many copies you like of the same bookmark as many time as you want. that is bad i mean really bad! if somebody does not have any idea how to do it it seem that im maust just copy ALL bokkmark and then manually delete all duplicates and many it will be many many HOURS!

My bookmark directories have doubled - meaning I have 2 of each directory. Also, within bookmark directories I am seeing the saved webpages duplicating or, in some cases, tripling. This is making it difficult to use Firefox.
