Previously I could change the color of ONLY visited links. 138 broke that ability and replaced it with a contrast setting that changes every kind of link color and the page background color/design too. This totally stinks and makes the visited web pages look terrible and hard to read too.

Is there a way to set FF so that ONLY visited link colors can be changed to the preferred one?

Hello, when many tabs are open, the mute button takes up almost the entire tab. When I go to a tab, I get to the mute button... https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2025-03-01-03-07-42-491a45.png Is it possible to remove this function on the tab, but leave the sound icon itself? So that when I click on the sound icon, the tab is switched to instead of mute?

When attempting to print a report from a website, I received this notice:

"For best print result; please enable the "Print background colors and graphics" option in your browser."

I haven't found a setting for this, Is there a setting for this?

On some dark themed websites the dropdown menu has an annoying white border as seen in the image taken on

I now have a visible sidebar, after installing the latest update. The 'help' section says to click on the 'settings' icon in the sidebar. I have no buttons, at all, in the sidebar. It is blank white. How do I remove this thing?

I mean, the tabs size are already bothersome that if you have multiple tabs open it's annoying you can't read the title of the page on that tab. So, you change it manually to size 200 instead of fabricated install as 76.

Who makes sure to change these to different size?

Tab width size config browser.tabs.tabMinWidth

Now, on the latest version, it shrinks on multiple tabs.

WHO IS AUTHORIZING THE RELEASES? I MEAN, DO YOU INTENSIONALLY MAKE ERRORS AND RELEASE THEM?

Just recently, the Bookmarks sidebar quit appearing automatically when I opened Firefox. In each new window, it can be selected manually.

I posted this thread under "Privacy and Security" because other threads on the Internet (some quite old) say this issue can be fixed by changing the Browsing history settings. I tried that, but got a strange result: the Bookmarks sidebar did appear automatically, but the webpage I was on would not display any images embedded in the page. And then I wondered: why must I eliminate Browsing History just to automatically display my bookmarks?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Hello, I am having and issue where my bookmarks toolbar keeps disappearing. I have the settings to have it "always show", but it is not there. I have to right click on the toolbar and select one of the other options then go back and select always show and then it reappears. What can I do to fix this? Thanks!

Can you please help me with a deeply frustrating problem I'm having with Firefox? After the last update, the shortcuts on my FF homepage disappeared and I can't restore or rebuild them.

Under settings, the homepage is set to show two rows of shortcuts but none are visible. I changed it to show more rows, closed & restarted FF, but no shortcuts appear. I then changed it to no rows, closed & restarted FF, then set it back to two rows, closed & restarted FF - still no rows. I've tried starting FF in troubleshoot mode, but to no avail. Looking through the Community Forums, I can't find anything that directly relates to my problem. In case this may help, I've had this problem once or twice before but I'm afraid I can't remember how it was resolved or if it was anything I stumbled upon that fixed it.

The environment is FF version 136.0.2 (64-bit) on an Acer Aspire E5 PC running Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, version 22H2, last updated 16 March 2025.

If you can offer any suggestion how I can resolve this and stop me pulling my hair out (in my case, it's an endangered species!), my remaining hair and I will be eternally grateful.

Please tell me whether I need to a)uninstall/reinstall Firefox OR if there is a setting somewhere that I need to use to correct this problem. I usually use Arial variations and need at least 14 for font size. My settings are always the same. My machine is a Lenovo ThinkPad and the OS is Windows 11. I have four bars at the top of the screen, File/Edit, below that tabs, below that the search bar, and below that bookmarks. Before yesterday everything was the correct size for my vision. According to Mozilla and all other online instructions for changing Firefox wallpaper, one must click on the Settings icon (pinwheel) in the upper right corner of a new tab. There is no such icon anywhere on the new tab screen. There is no wallpaper to select under the Settings menu (three dashes) in the top right hand corner. I have the latest version of Firefox. What version are these instructions for? And how does one change the Firefox wallpaper? Firefox is my default browser in Ubuntu 2204 LTS.

i just got a new laptop and have setup my taskbar at the bottom and most frequently used bookmarks at the top. I used to also have a sidebar where i had my entire bookmarks menu but cant figure out how to do that. any ideas?

Recently my Browser was updated and a fairly broad sidebar apperared from nowhere

As an experienced user with Firefox i have always been happy with it - it is just the Browser

WHY DO YOU KEEP ADDING STUFF LIKE SIDEBAR? It is fairly broad with a settings flag at the bottom. I already knew where settings were in menu. Why do i need this broad panel having the effect of decreasing possible width to expand a page if needed.

To me, this is just playing about, copying other browsers that are garbage that's why we use Firefox isn't it. If you try find out how to turn off it becomes a ridiculous unnecessary exercise. If you want to add stuff like this it should be configurable like everything else and not just appear.

It is so irritating i absolutely hate stuff like this, people playing about not improving it. Making it worse. Why are half the users trying to do what i am? - get rid of it.

I have gone through themes and it was no use at all. I could not even see the sidebar to select it to turn it off? No doubt for some other ludicrously complex reason? I just want a simple page to read the internet. Please help!!!!!

How do I make the scroll bar always visible? The fact that you have to hover over it before it shows itself is maddening! Makes scrolling so much more difficult and frustrating. If this can't be adjusted I am done with mozilla after many many years of using it.
