I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I have tried: Running Firefox in safe mode (Shift + Left Click) Resetting Firefox Switching Back to default themes Disabling hardware acceleration Updating to the latest Beta Build (v126) Running Firefox Developer edition

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.

I'm using FF on Fedora 39.

However Firefox does not remember any file associations. The MimeTypes.rdf file in the profile is missing and is also not created on restarting the browser.

In the options I've now set the configuration to "Ask whether to open or save files". Now I see a popup when clicking on a file however there is no checkbox with "remember this file associations" (or something similiar).

I can no longer log into my social security account using Firefox, but the login does work on edge. When I try login on Firefox, I get the following error message:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

The initial web site is https://www.ssa.gov/. From there I hit "Sign in", and get to https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.action using Edge, but get just the error message using Firefox.

There is another route, which is through https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/. Hitting either account or sign in on that page will work on Edge, but gives the same error message on Firefox.

I have two audio device plugged in. firefox only outputs to the usb devise even though i have selected the aux out on windows. all other programs use the selected audio out but not firefox

any help would be appreciated

I am using Ubuntu 23.10.1 with KDE Plasma desktop environment. Since recently I've been experiencing the following problem with Firfox document viewer: after a period of inactivity, PDFs become unreadable, and seem to cumulate everything that was displayed on screen (see screenshot). Ctrl + F5 does not help, and neither does closing the window and opening a new one with a link to the file. KDE Document Viewer displays the same file correctly.

Today when I close many tabs using control w firefox seems to randomly jump around when choosing which next tab to close

I wish to have firefox always close the adjacent tab to the tab I just closed

This should be the default behavior ... I do not see any setting for this ... is there an addon to do this ?

I am using the latest firefox on ubuntu

First time posting here, so I'm hoping that someone can help me out.

I'm encountering a very odd issue on my Macbook Pro running MacOS Sonoma 14.4. I am unable to access two sites – allrecipes.com, and seriouseats.com on my home WiFi network on the Macbook.

These sites work on other browsers (tested on Safari and Chrome), and they also work on my iPhone.

Oddly, when I went to work and tried to access these sites via WiFi using Firefox, I was able to.

I am unsure what the problem is – the ability to access these sites on Safari, Chrome, and my iPhone at home suggests that it's not a network issue. I haven't encountered this issue with any other sites.

I have:

125.0 (64-bit) Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0

Video on Facebook plays without sound. The video plays, I see the image normally, but no sound. Video on Youtube works perfectly.

Fresh install without addons or plugins. Switching to "Troubleshoot mode" does not change anything. Youtube with sound, Facebook without sound.

Any ideas where to look?

Hello everyone, I’m a fan of Firefox due to its efficient handling of webpage caching and memory management. However, I often find myself switching back to the Chromium-based Edge browser due to one specific feature in its DevTools. In Edge, when I resize the viewport, it stops at a certain limit. If I want to resize it further, I can zoom out and then continue resizing. I find this feature very useful. Is there a way to have similar functionality in Firefox? I’m currently using the Firefox Developer Edition.

Hello For a few days now, every time I go to youtube the page appears almost completely blank (see screenshot). I've tried disabling all my extensions and go in troubleshoot mode but it still does not work. When I try removing youtube storage from firefox settings "manage cookies and site data" and saving, data of the same size is still there when I open the storage manager again. The only thing that seems to work is going into a private window but since I have to keep signing in each time it is painful especially with google MFA. Please help.

Hello guys, so in the past 2-3 days i started facing Cross-Origin Request Blocked for a lot of websites lets take chatgpt for example, if i visit it i get:

The resource from “https://cdn.oaistatic.com/_next/static/chunks/sso.74deac81d652476b.js?dpl=f90a861ef09abad575887be5d613ce15a4fdb6d9” was blocked due to MIME type (“text/plain”) mismatch (X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff).

and its getting so annoying that its blocking a lot of websites, i tried chromium it works fine and works awesomely no cors no problems. I even tried to disable the firefox protection, dns over https on/off, change my main dns upstream, installed firefox developer, compete uninstall/reinstall, cache clear from installers and from firefox it self nothing is working. I will provide firefox developer edition troubleshooting information but keep in mind it doesnt work on both firefox normal and developer

Please any help would be appreciate it.

Hello, as of recently Firefox got the new tool to highlight text in the native PDF viewer, and I really enjoyed using it. As of today, I had not updated or changed versions, but I suddenly lost access to the highlight tool option. Refreshing the page didn't work, downloading a new PDF and opening it didn't work, restarting Firefox didn't work, and I haven't seen anybody else have this issue.

Firefox Version> Firefox Developer Edition 125.0 Beta 8 (20240403091602) OS> Windows 11

I don't know if this is just an issue due to it being in beta, or it being on beta 7 but not 8, but either way any solution is appreciated!

It doesn't matter if I add www.youtube.com site to hosts file in Linux and delete cache, Firefox just doesn't block it, bypassing my meassures to prevent me to get hooked up here. It was blocking everything as expected some weeks ago. I also tried redirecting to different IP's and it didn't work.

After some checks, I noticed:

• It happens only with www.youtube.com, it doesn't happen with youtube.com (without www)
• Other common pages like other Google pages, Facebook, TikTok or Instagram, get succesfuly blocked by hosts file as expected
• I have tested creating new profiles with about:profiles, but the issue continues
• The issue started after Firefox Developer Edition version 125.0b1 as you may notice in the images attached.
• I also tested with the latest nigthly version and the issue continues.
• DNS over HTTP (DOH) doesn't seems to be the problem since it seems that my network doesn't met the requirements to enable it, and if I manually make sure it's disabled, the issue still continues.
• Chromium browser blocks www.youtube.com as expected, so that indicates my PC might be correctly configured

Hi. I can't access my add-ons that I installed. When I click on the extensions icon it doesn't open that little menu like it does for other people, but it takes me to 'about:addons' in a new tab. I also want to pin my addons to my toolbar which is also not working. Please help me out

it was oki going live on tango from my pc on windows on firefox browser and 2 or 3 dayes ago it only crash message .. oopss ,,, Something went wrong. We will be back shortly ... reload

When a firefox window is active on my second display, I lose the firefox menubar on my main display. I haven't noticed this before, is it something new, or have I inadvertently changed a setting?

Hey guys, I'm using Ubuntu 24.04 with Firefox 124.0 .deb release from this repository: https://launchpad.net/%7Emozillateam/+archive/ubuntu/ppa I enabled "Ask whether to open or save files" from settings. Whenever the Open/Save dialogue is shown and I choose Open, I expect that the file would be opened using the default application. But Firefox asks again to choose the application by which the file (file link?) should be opened. It seems that Firefox is somehow change the way the files are opened through external applications and transformed local file addresses to file://uri/on/disk.

We have been trying to get to the bottom of this problem in my company, but we ruled out everything else than Firefox itself. Periodically Firefox experiences an APPCRASH event for multiple users. It used on a Windows Server 2019 that is used as a Terminal Server. When this APPCRASH occurs even though the profile of the user is there, Firefox creates a brand new profile for the user and all the passwords and form data is lost. Browsing history is lost too, but that is not a problem.

I've included some tracelog in the troubleshooting info field. Does anyone have any direction that I could go towards?
