With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update. My Firefox recently updated to version 124.0.2. Afterwards my taskbar shortcut broke, so I pinned a new one manually (right-clicked Firefox in start menu > open file location.) When I opened Firefox it had reset the primary profile to be default, so I changed it back to my BetterFox profile. Since then I've run into several oddities, such as Firefox crashing when it's running in the background, getting an error saying "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window," when I try to open it, invisible shortcuts in my taskbar(see image) and my bookmark visibility resetting from always to only in new tab every time I start up Firefox. Please help me.

Currently, I use Firefox version: 116.0.2 on Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS.

I encountered a phenomenon like this:

• When I logged in to the application, in the tab I was working on, the Firefox session memory was lost (don't open new tabs)

What is the cause of this phenomenon? How can I fix it?

Once updated Firefox all old tabs didn't open ( and it was not possible to restore them anymore). So I'd like to restore all old tabs of yesterday session. Really important for my work. Looking forward to hearing from you asap. Regards, Orlando.

Why some Wikipedia pages cannot activate reading mode under Debian 12 and Firefox ESR 115.9.1, for example this English Wikipedia page on Emmabuntüs does not allow reading mode to be activated while French, Spanish and German pages can ?

Or otherwise in which Firefox log file to see if a page is compatible or not?

I have 3 laptops all running windows 10 or 11. These all share a docking station giving access to an extended display, keyboard etc. All laptops run fine with the docking station except for one issue with the newest laptop... The screen resolution, only on firefox on the one laptop, (everything else is fine) is completly out of whack. I have tried the zoom function but no luck. I have trawled the internet but all the solutions are from 10+ years ago and refer to different versions of firefox and windows. I am not a computer geek so please dumb down any advice.

Whenever I get a link whether in an email from a verified sender or from using a site like Amazon, clicking on a link always results in "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." This has happened ever since loading the most recent version of Firefox (124.0.2) and it is very, very frustrating. What is causing this? Even in "safe" mode this occurs. Please rectify this situation. I do not want to have to change browsers after more than 20 years with Firefox.

Had to replace FF with Chrome in order to play DRM content on my W11 laptop. I get message saying you are downloading remedy, but nothing ever changes. Would prefer to continue 15+ year relationship with FF, but seems like youre abandoning capabilities for DRM video content?

I just got a chromebook! Details:

When I watch a youtube video with chrome my cpu usage is 20-30% When I do the same with firefox my cpu usage is 50%

Running `about:support` and going into `webrender_compositor` I get the following errors under `env`: 1. Blocklisted by gfxInfo 2. Blocklisted; failure code 3. FEATURE_FAILURE_WEBRENDER_COMPOSITOR_DISABLED

I have set almost all these force renders = True and even granted gpu access to firefox flathub but still no difference in performance. I am asking now because I am just going in circles in the rabbit hole.

On the page listing passwords, it was possible to sort them by "Alerts".

On my other laptop using Firefox v121, the alerts are properly displayed. But on my second laptop using Firefox v124, the alerts are gone. I can't sort password by "Alerts", the option isn't there. Both laptops share the same Firefox account and have password synchronized between each other.

Obviously, I ticked the "Show alerts about passwords for breached websites" box in the settings but it looks like it does not nothing. I also checked in "about:config" and everything seems good.

Is this feature gone?

It has been observed that when a user uses the Firefox browser and tries to download a DDD file, the file format is .pdf instead of .ddd. In the devtools, it was observed that the content-type is text/plain in the response to the request. I changed the content-type to application/octet-stream, but the error still persists

We have an application where we do not want to share the session cookies between tabs. Is this possible? If above answer is yes, next we would like to filter out some cookies by name that should not be shared across tabs. Meaning, we want some cookies that can be shared across tabs and some should not be shared.

After years of accessing www.youtube.com with Firefox with no problem, the website is no longer accessible as of yesterday. When I point my browser to that URL, I get a screen with greyed out video previews, greyed out titles, greyed out account access and a search window that does not do anything. I can access YouTube just fine with Safari. I've cleared my cache. Please advise.

I'm testing different Debian 12 on multiple VMs, it came to my surprise to see that my VPN hash I used on a website the day before was saved by Firefox on the new VM.

The Sync was on but then which one saved my form (hash)?

1. Numbered list item Logins & Passwords ? note: The hash was not a login but a form. If Firefox saves all the form, you should explicitly rename Logins by any forms/inputs.
2. Numbered list item History? note: I hope this is only URLs.

If Firefox is savings "forms" (input fields) not just "logins" then it should be explicitly written. Is it an expected behavior?

Prior to about a month ago, downloading worked as expected: - click a link - the save to... dialog opened - choose the folder - the download is off and running

No more. For about the past month - click a link - wait for a long time with FF frozen - the a wheel starts rotating - after a full minute (or more) the save dialog appears.

Something has been broken in the mad-dash to push updates. It's fine for browsing, but the, you need to download. At that point you wish you were using a different browser (any other browser, in fact) since FF is the only oe that has this problem. Downloading works fine in a 8 chromium browsers that I have and in the 5 FF clones (like Waterfox)

It's just FF that's broken. I can no longer afford to set it as default because of this. The others are not perfect (WF won't activate Pocket, foe example) but downloading promptly is critical.

This has been happening for months now, on multiple devices (I have tried at least 3 different devices), and on multiple networks.

I have read the articles in here, but they just want me to check network configuration which is exactly the same for all browsers.

If I restart firefox it starts working again.

How can I prevent it from breaking randomly? This is the only browser having issues, I'm almost positive is some bug and not a configuration thing, given that it happens under multiple circumstances and devices, while Edge and Chrome simply keep working just fine.

There is no consistent repro I can give, afaik it is just random, at some point Firefox just decides to stop working and I have to restart it. This disrupts my work and browsing activities as I can lose progress on input forms and similar actions.
