I have three devices, a desk top, a laptop and an iPad. The desktop is running a very outdated version of Firefox which means it is not compatable just to update it. The forum tried to help me with this a while back, but it was deemed not to be possible, and the best way would have been to do a fresh new install, but there was noway to save log-ins/passwords bookmarks. My devices all have the Firefox sync and that is so far working well. My question is, if I dragged my PC's Firefox into the present by performing a fresh new install, would my synced items install ok....after invoking the Sync feature on the new install. Logic tells me this should be so, as it worked ok with the new iPad, but I know from experience that logic doesn't always come into play. (Windows7) Many thanks

Is there a way for me to test out passwords without having to wait 15 minutes after testing out a few? I lost my password but there are usually a few combinations so I've been trying to brute force it but it just doesn't workout. Thankfully I have a backup profile but it is rather old and I'd like to sync stuff to that account but I also don't want to wipe my data because I have quite a few new bookmarks and things I keep to remind myself of stuff (I have way too many bookmarks). Thanks

Recently, I installed an SSD on my computer, which also has my old HHD with my current Firefox account Information.

However, after having had this for a long while, I have forgotten my password and have no recovery keys. I have tried backing up my history, but all I managed to backup was my bookmarks and passwords.

If I were to reset my Sync password in the HHD before switching to the SSD, will I lose all my history and cookies? Is there any other way to manually backup my data without using Sync, or at least to make sure resetting my password won't result in my account data being lost?

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

I am trying to fix a situation on my parents computer that uses Firefox. We had to uninstall Firefox, reboot and reinstall the Firefox browser. After doing this I expected to be able to "Login" using her email and password, she had lost her password so I assumed there would be a "forgot password" link available to recover it. Instead this was not an option, after entering email it went straight to an option to enter a new password. There does not appear to be a point to recover a lost password, or to enter it in a new login after doing a new install. I found some tips while doing a Google search that instructed to click on the user icon in the toolbar and a reset would be there but that was not available either. Any suggestions.

How can I import from my old logins.json and key3.db (or key4.db) into Firefox Lockwise? I've set the config to be able to import from file, but all it wants are .csv and when I point it at logins.json it fails. Help!

Just reinstalled my pc, never used a sync from file I always do it that way.

it fails at step 3, it just doesn't do anything at all, all I can see is my profile picture but nothing else, no bookmarks, no history, no addons, anything

I tried to sync on with my mobile, but there is literally nothing to sync.. I never used a backup file or anything

what should I do to get my addons and bookmarks back?

Hello! As said, my laptop died suddenly a day ago. I had Firefox Sync activated. I have now installed Firefox in the new machine, logged into Sync but Sync is not syncing anything. Not even being able to "see" that I had a laptop before.

I have been locked out of my firefox account: I can log in, but I can't sync my saved passwords, bookmarks, search history and so on. I now have access to my email account again: xxx@sol.dk - but how do I unlocke it, so that I can sync my stuff to my new, re-installed firefox browser??

I was a little surprised to see that my current computer hasn't reflected the updated bookmarks which I bookmarked on my other computer with being logged into my account as well which I thought would be the case after syncing Firefox on my current computer. I'm not too sure of how to get around this since I checked Firefox on my laptop which I used recently and had the recent bookmarks listed but not on my other computer where I'm on now. Hope you can help me figure out how to get around this outside of trying to sync my information which I haven't had much luck with. Thank you.

I normally use Firefox Beta. Ever since upgrading to v92 the option to Send Tab to Device has been missing when I right-click on a tab. I've downloaded other versions of Firefox and the issue seems to follow me out of Beta and into the regular release. I've seen other people having issues with syncing and sending tabs between devices as of late, but no one seemed to be completely missing the option to do so.

Well can you just unlock my account as I know the password and have big data needed there. Also this email is closed by google and I mean closed not forgotten so it won't receive any emails.
