I am downloading from Explorer. It just keeps saying Downloading Firefox after I double click on the installer. It goes on for hours and hours. It is ironic that it tells me that "you're about to enjoy the very latest in speed, flexibility and security so you're always in control." Please help.

Several months ago, I was having issues with Firefox, so I uninstalled it to do a clean install. After going through the full uninstall process, when my computer starts to extract the download, it stops at 61% and fails. I've gone through the registry and program files to make sure all bits of FF are gone, and still fails. Any other ideas?

Windows 7 (64 bit)

I have Windows 10 and am using Internet Explorer as my web browser. I have tried several times to install Firefox, but it runs forever and never installs. I've had Firefox on other computers and have never had an issue with the install. Can someone tell me what I need to do?

It downloads to 97% then starts over. I have been using firefox on my desktop pc for a long time, but cant't get it installed on my notebook. I have deactivated eset firewall and windows defender still no go. IE 11 does work.

I am running Firefox 33.1 & I am getting a message advising "Update failed."

When I attempt to download the latest version, it hangs (for as long as 8 to 10+ hours) and does nothing.

Following a system failure, I was able to recover my Favorites (from a back up that I had (prior to the system crash.))

My daughters Laptop is running Vista OS. FF version 6.

I went to update her browser...

I downloaded from the green button got a binary file called setup stub. went to install.... PC asked if ok to run I sed yes but got NO install. ....Nothing....I went back and started my browser in safe mode with any plugins etc disabled and still nothing happened I even told my a/v to disable....still nothing.... how do I get it to Install???? .*BEYOND FRUSTRATED.*

After opening the stub file I get a message asking if I want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer. After clicking "YES" the message window closes, a smaller message window flashes on and off, followed by nothing...

Running Windows XP Professional version 2002, with SP 3 ESET NOD32 antivirus 7

When I try to Update Firefox to Version 31 the files are downloaded but fail to instal. Error message says "failed to install".

If I try to instal version 31 from scratch the installer runs for ages downloading files then fails to complete the instalation.

Any Ideas welcome, Phil

When I download Firefox onto Windows 8, I can't get past the user account controls window. I've answered both yes and no. It shows Firefox in my downloads, but it won't launch. Any ideas?

Running Windows 7. Downloaded installer (stub 28.0). I tell it to Run and nothing happens. It also asks if i want to run the installer. I respond "RUN" but nothing happens. I get a message that it could not load XPCOM. I have tried it several times with no success. Have downloaded it several times.

I am trying to download firefox for the first time. It will get so far in the download then will pop up box that says process was interrupted click ok to continue. When I click ok it will say page can not be displayed.

i had to uninstall firefox as it wont change the settings as per my requirements. for starters it wont set the homepage to google. so i read on the internet that some files block it so i should uninstall firefox and install it again. now when i try to install, the set up is downloaded, and then when i run it, it says extracting. after this when i click on install, it says "one moment, firefox will launch as soon as installation is complete". but the bar above that which shows how much % download is completed, it hasnt even started. i have been waiting for 1 hour for it to complete installation but it doesnt move ahead. can somebody please help?? Info: i have windows 7

My internet connection is fine, my computer is well maintained and working optimally, but whenever I attempt to download firefox so I can stop using IE (which is absolute garbage), it downloads at about 3kb/s. Is this a problem with the open source software or is my ISP throttling down mozilla?

Firefox did an overnite update, and after that I could not get on the internet using Firefox. I removed it and tried to reinstall it, but it just keeps downloading. Sometimes I get an error message about not having mozglue.dll.

After automatic update to Firefox 29 it would not connect to internet. I uninstalled FF. Attempting to reinstall using Firefox Setup Stub 29.0.1.exe. Installer will not open (nothing happens). I'm using Norton 360 and have deactivated it. Help! Thanks,

I'm attempting to download the latest version of Firefox and am running Windows 7. However, about 75% into the download, it stops and resets the download process, but does not give me any errors. Any suggestions?
